So Heather and I have been waiting for our “assignment” to come from South Korea. Waiting for months to find out who will be joining our family. I am sitting in a Days Inn parking lot in Oakhurst, CA because we just got a phone call from our social worker that we have been assigned. PRAISE GOD!!! God is shining bright upon us right now. We are overjoyed.

His new name will be Losiah. 
We are unsure as to which Korean names to incorporate. We will decide soon.

Hi Carlos:
I attended your work shop on Bolgs and podcasts at the Saddleback worship conference. I have been pretty busy since the conference. My dad has been very ill with lung cancer and he passed away last Wednesday. I am officiating his memorial service this Saturday. I finalyl got around to setting up a blog at blogger.com. My site name is surfdudepastor. Since I am really new to this I will accept and apprecaite any advice or constructive critism you might have to offer. I am sure you are really busy wiht the new baby and all so I will not expect any immediate response.

Congratulations! He’s adorible. Next time you do a conference with us, you’ll have to bring him so we can meet him. DJ and are are thinking of coming out to Sandals to say hi sometime in the next few weeks. Blessings on your new little addition … adoption is an amazing picture of the gopsel. It’s a picture that the culture around us can actually understand – what an amazing oppertunity to share with others and what an amazing story he will be able to tell one day.

Honestly? I’m crying right now. What a precious, precious little boy…and what a precious family he’s going to be a part of. His life and his future have just been radically altered. Suddenly, through no effort of his own, he is a part of a loving family. He’s gone from having a life with little hope to a life filled with hope. He’ll have sisters to walk with him through life.He’ll now know the tender love of a mother and the strong love of a father.
