But you’ve got to concede that the Jhoon Rhee commercial is just a product of the times — I grew up up watching it in the late 70’s early 80’s! Well… either way, then or now, it’s still fun to make fun of!
By the way, that 202 area code is Washington D.C. — there WERE a ton of Jhoon Rhee joints in my back yard.
I was shocked when I saw this commercial… My wife and i used to live in the DC area… and to this day we still occasionaly sing this song… yeh, its bad video… but it was effective video… I remember it still 20 years later… Thanks for giving me a huge smile.
My first thought was “Your mom goes to college” from Kip in Napolean Dyanamite when he’s watchin’ that awful karate commercial.
Of course, it wasn’t as awful as this one.
