PodRunner Podcast
So now that I am a full fledged runner ( i can run for 3 minutes without stopping), or something like that, I cannot imagine running without my PodRunner podcast. It is everything I need to get me through my runs. DJ Steveboy puts them out once a week and they are basically the poor mans version of the 15 dollar Nike iPod mixes. Now my shoes don’t talk to my ipod. The music does not sync up with me. But after about a week or so of running to DJ Steveboy’s mixes I feel fairly comfortable choosing an hour of 160 bpm music and running like white on rice. The though that goes into the ebb and flow of the mixes is great. The BPM’s don’t change but the intensity does. So although I am not a fan of remixed house crap, when I run, I am a raver. If you need something extra to push you through your hour long runs, give The PodRunner Podcast a listen.

Los

Hey los, you should check out favoriterun.com . It’s a pretty cool runners website that implements the Google Maps API. It has a lot of cool features, but the one I like the most is it allows you to map out your run, and it will give you the distance. I have been logging my running using it. It’s pretty cool. You can check out my running log if you like. The best part is they offer a free service. There is an optional upgrade with extras like GPS support. Good luck with the running.
My bad, for some reason it wouldn’t allow me to use HTML to post a link. Here is my profile on Favoriterun, http://www.favoriterun.com/account/public_user_profile/23601
YES! Podrunner is awesome.
I can’t use it at the gym, but I love it when I run.

“hour long runs”…..Ha! for some reason this doesn’t make me think of feet….oh, and your blog looks beautiful from my laptop. then again, my laptop is beautiful…runs….that’s so funny.
I’m trying this thing out on my next run. Betta be good. It isn’t too techno geeky is it? I get tired of the same old “thump thump thump whiky whiky” sounds that go OVER and OVER and OVER again.
Are they actual songs, or did the guy put them together on his computer? As you can tell, I haven’t listened to it yet.

Dude! Thanks for the tip! I used it on my run last night on my NEW iPOD! Not that I’m a “runner” — 2 miles is hardly long distance — but the constant groove really helps!
“the poor man’s version of the 15 dollar Nike iPod mixes,” my ass — those mixes suck the concrete shaft of doom.
FWIW, I’m not a fan of “remixed house crap” either.
Thanks for pimpin’ Podrunner.
