Sohaila’s Arm

Posted on 13. Oct, 2006 by loswhit in Family

Woke up this morning. Moi came over with some grub. We were grubbin!!! Sohaila and Seanna wanted to go try out the brand spanking new playground KB put in our new community. FUN!!! So Sohaila and Seanna and Moses were swinging, running, playing, and shouting. I was watching Miami Ink with Moi when Lori Lynn cam barging through the door…”Sohaila’s hurt!!!”
I thought maybe a nice cut. Even some knocked out teeth. Then Heather came round the corner with So in her arms.
Heather lost it. I grabbed Sohaila and Moi sped us to the hospital. The longest 10 minute ride to Kaiser since Seanna was coming out of Heather’s wah.
The doctors were great. They popped that bad boy back in place and casted her up. So thanks for the quick shout outs for my little one. Heather has an AWESOME recap of the morning and pictures to suit. Go visit her blog and give her a mom blog hug. She needs it. Here is my biscuits arm for your viewing pleasure….

Bad dad idea of the day…
On the way to the hospital I told her that her arm made an “S” for Sohaila. She finally stopped crying, looked real hard at her arm, then screamed “Not it’s not! It’s an “R”!!! WAHHHHHHH!!!”

This is so sad, but she will have a really great Friday the 13th story to tell when she gets older.

Wow! Just remember kids heal fast. My daughter broke both of her arms 3 days after getting out of school 2 years ago trying to be superman in the swing. She ended up having pins put in one arm. 6 months later my other daughter broke her arm falling off a bike and not long after that the daughter with the two broken arms broke her arm again while roller skating. I think the orthopedic doctor recognizes our voice when we call. Doesn’t make you feel better as a parent, but the kids recover quickly. Once they put the permanent cast on, she probably won’t even complain of it hurting much.

I remember, it was Friday the 13th, I don't remember if it was July or August. We arrived that day from England.

Praying for quick healing with minimal discomfort! My son shattered both bones in his lower right leg 2 years ago whilst attempting his first acid drop into a halfpipe. Needless to say, that ended his short skateboarding career.

Been there & done that but my daughters arm was what she called “flippy-floppy.” sorry for your daughter and wife. I KNOW it’s very traumatic.

Dude, I know the feeling. About 2 years ago my youngest (2 at the time) might have pushed my oldest (4 at the time) off the bed.
Broken elbow, casted for 4 weeks and good to go.

    Praying for complete recovery.
