Benny Hinn Covers Drowning Pool

Posted on 15. Feb, 2007 by loswhit in Religion

This tops off this accidental Video Thursday.
I’m imperfect. You know that. And this clip brought up all kinds of imperfect emotions and reactions…
First it was laughter.
Then it was distrust.
Then it was sorrow.
Then it was laughter again.
Then it was intrigue.
Then it was wonder.
Finally it was a small sense of jealousy.
Weird I know.

Besides wanting to go pick up the newest release from Drowning Pool,

What were you thinking?
Go ahead

    His hair frightens me!
I still don’t know what the heck he is selling, Jesus or Benny?

  2. Joni 15 February 2007 at 10:57 pm #

Was he a ninja in another life?

this was really eerie…what are people thinking? it’s sad cuz if these people really need to be healed or have demons, they need REAL prayer. who knows, mabye it is real. i hope so.

    clever video.

umm… benny hinn has scared since i was little. i watch this video and i see a man… a VEEEEEERY wealthy man who has taken Jesus and His Message to the bank.

and he knocks over old women. thats hot.

i like(d) that song; i’ll never hear it w/o thinking of benny hinn though. it’s one thing to be anointed but i see that and think of david copperfield. i grew up in a pentecostal church where if you weren’t falling out — though not quite like *that* — people questioned your salvation. i’m leery of shows like this. this is the same man who wanted viewers to buy him a plane so he could win souls! souls! souls! — right?

ouch…my butt would hurt from all the falling.

  8. Kyle 16 February 2007 at 1:08 am #

i think he could take Chuck Norris out with those moves!

I imagined that most of it is fake… but if the faith of the sick is real and true then maybe some of them are healed. Besides God has used alot of stupid and lame people for His good.

We must also consider that he could be a false prophet empowered by Satan to deceive. So convincing are these men that IF IT WERE POSSIBLE they would deceive the elect.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Mat 24:24)

    Something to think about.

    disturbing yet funny

I was first thinking that if God was healing, they were now in need of healing from the injuries they sustained from hitting the floor like that….this has always disturbed me from a showboat point of view…like one of the first comments: is he promoting the Lord or Benny? God heals in His way and time, and for someone to be slapping people around and declare them healed makes me sad, because what happens “if that didn’t work”? What happens to that persons faith? God is the One in control…not the Benster

Hinn is so rock and roll. Hilarious. Chuck Norris AND Jack Bauer fear his mullet.

It would be bad if Benny got all animated talking on his new plane, and accidentally waved his arm in the wrong direction, and took the pilot out…

I know people who have been healed at his “crusades.” My fellowship the A/G kicked him out. He says a looooooooooooot of stupid things. The question being is he a false teacher or ignorant of theology or both? Some people are healed and some people are saved in his events. Many other Christians who are in search of an experience get one. He is a Christian PT Barnum. I’ll leave it to God to judge the fruit of his ministry. I think I know but it isn’t my place to say other than when my people ask me about him.

What an eery video though. He has always disturbed me.

Personally, I would like to see trampolines installed.

  18. David Coe 16 February 2007 at 8:27 am #

    Chip,

One point that the Scriptures make is that these healings and other “miracles” can be real… but not from God. We must remember that Satan has much power and transforms himself into an angel of LIGHT.

He COULD be healing in the power of Satan for the purpose of deception.

  19. Benny Hinn 16 February 2007 at 8:44 am #

David I may need to do a ninja move and heal you of your distrust….HHIIIIIIYAAAAAA

  20. Zach 16 February 2007 at 8:58 am #

Tony take it back, Benny Hinn wears Jack Bauer pajamas…

  21. Carole 16 February 2007 at 9:29 am #

I just thought it was completely fitting-tune and motions, like a glove.

  22. Mom2One 16 February 2007 at 11:10 am #

Kevin’s comment “I would like to see trampolines installed” made me laugh out loud. Seriously, though, that’s not a bad idea.

I think Hinn is a nutjob, but what do I know?

  23. Tony 16 February 2007 at 12:29 pm #

Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris threaten terrorists with Benny Hinn ninja-sessions when “DAMN IT WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!” and roundhouse kicks fail.

I saw this video a while ago. And I felt anger. Maybe with some fear mixed in. And some sadness when I realized how huge his (and similar preachers’) following is.

  25. michael 16 February 2007 at 1:49 pm #

This one might elicit even more of those reactions. F**ck*ng scary!

OK…that was some funny crap. The sad part is the singer for Drowning Pool is actually dead from an overdose…right after that song hit…..or is it sad that I have begun to question if Hinn is really doing that stuff and we’re all just too jaded because we don’t have enough faith….I know it’s nuts, but that crosses my mind from time to time.

haha, one of my friends, after seeing this video, raised a good point: “Shouldn’t they be wearing, like, gym clothes instead of suits?”

  28. the bear 16 February 2007 at 9:06 pm #

    haha very funny Cash!

  29. caskeyshane 16 February 2007 at 10:12 pm #

    DUUDDEE!!

Tonite at our conference here, right in the middle of singing “How Great is Our God,” this lil 13 year old kid just falls flat on his back right in front of me!! I was perplexed!! Knowing my lil non-denominational self, I had no freakin idea what to do. Whether to see if he needed oxygen or to leave him ‘slain in the spirit’!! I tell ya, thats some CRAZY stuff there bro!

Benny has been watchin too many Tae-Bo tapes.

Okay, okay. I am not Benny Hinn. I don’t even have any ninja skills. But I like Benny Hinn. Just cause we can’t understand something doesn’t give us the right to be judgemental of it. I refuse to even have a comment on his ministry. He just seems like some one who would great fun at a BBQ.

  31. rachel 17 February 2007 at 7:21 am #

    is he possessed?

  32. the bear 18 February 2007 at 4:45 pm #

“great fun at a BBQ.” HAHA that’s great!

  33. Jabulani Jonny 19 February 2007 at 8:20 am #

Ok, I’m a little late seeing this. I have been raised in Pentecostal churches. The one I went to during high school had some of these same type things going on and it just completely turned me off. It just started feeling forced, like what Fayola said, if you weren’t falling out, people questioned the validity of your experience. Sorry, that ain’t for me. There was a time when a lot of people I knew were going to see Benny Hinn, then I heard that there were “plants” in the audience. Not sure if it’s true or not, but it turned me off.

So seeing that video makes me sad. Sad because if a non-christian sees that video, they’re just gonna see a bunch of kooks and not the love of Christ. God doesn’t rape. He doesn’t assault you with His gospel or His healing. That’s my .02 in a nutshell.

  34. lorijo 20 February 2007 at 4:12 pm #

benny hinn gives me the heebi jeebies…how the heck do you even spell that…

did you see the part where he slapped that one guy, what the heck. i’m tend to agree with the points about him being a false teacher. does this guy have any accountability? i’m going to stop before i write too much.

  35. Singing Sparrow 20 February 2007 at 11:37 pm #

    disturbing.
