Kanye West – Classic
OK. I go from hatin’, to lovin’, to hatin’, to lovin’ this guy.
I am not going to lie. This stuff is money. KRS-One and DJ Premier mix.
If you are a child of the 80′s such as I, Kanye pays tribute well.

Not much of a Kanye fan, I just can’t take seriously people with egos the size of his. But speaking of 80′s hip hop, you reminded me of this old Asher D & Daddy Freddy track I used to spin when I was on the radio. “Ragamuffin Hip Hop” seems appropriate for you. Check it out on iTunes.
Oh man. That is so hot.
I think it’s interesting that our feelings about someone’s personality and their art somehow get tied together. Because even if Kanye West is the biggest a-hole in the world, it doesn’t mean his art is not absolutely stunning and brilliant. John Lennon was an a-hole, too.
OK…I’m straight up a hater of Kanye…..didn’t even watch. Ain’t nobody like Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five….c’mon….I saw the New York Fresh Fest in Memphis, TN….
Grandmaster Flash, Whodini, The Fat Boys and the headliner was RUN-D.M.C. Now that was fresh (by the way, that was 1985)
i can’t help but not like him.
Blog this, dogg: http://www.ifilm.com/video/2829104
Kentucky Fried Hillary LMAO.
the closest to old school would have to be common, talib kwali and mos def. im a hh head. love the old school and thought kanye had a chance to be one the next but he ruined everything with his rolling stone junk. nice tho. so you like old school los? who are yer favs? i was just listening to rakim this weekend.
“By the time you can afford it-the car ain’t important”
That is, in fact, dope stupid y’all.
Seriously, Kanye is a wiz….no, you can’t help but hate him cause of stuff. But his music is hot. He’s an extremely talented artist, just has some things mixed up in his head.
I feel you on the love-hate thing with Kanye…I’m somewhere in between right now, but he got KRS-1 to lay a track down. Not too many people can do that. Old school h.h. is where it’s at. Besides Mos, Common, the Roots and a few others, I don’t listen to much of the newer stuff.
Okay I was going to listen to see what the song sounds like. i pushed the play button, but then stopped it. No matter how “talented” Mr. Kanye West is I refuse to listen to him. I was very disappointed in all his winnings, and speeches. I really wish I could like him, but the only part I ever remotely liked his songs was the part in the movie “Jarhead” there was a part in the movie where that “Jesus” song fit absolutely perfect. Beside that sorry Carlos just can’t do it.
dude, i’m still hatin’ him!
That was a dooooooope track.
Hearing Erik B….KRS…the old skool b-boys shaking the cans….dude, it gave me chills.
Ain’t nothin’ like the Four Elements of Hip Hop…DJing….MCing…Breakdancing….and the almighty Graffiti. Thanks for putting this up!
the fact the you guys dont listen to kanye because he has a ego
is childish. Kanye is the most talented rapper out there right now hands downs and of u know it! even the haters lol
I have to correct myself. That wasn’t Erik B. That was Rakim!!!
