Ok two logical explanations about this photo that you should run through your head before you begin typing…
1. Most Bibles have a page near the front with a ‘To’ and ‘From’ section. The Bible is very often a great gift or present to give to someone.
2. It’s not an autograph it’s a signature. Most likely to a friend or someone in need of it.
I’ve heard Joel speak at a song writing class and amungst all his friends on the United team he would be the theologin and more serious of the bunch. Signing autographs is not something I can see this guy doing. I doesn’t fit his profile or his passion of putting Christ first in his life.

I live like 15 mins from where the album was recorded (u can see me in the dvd carrying a candle- or 4).
Awesome to see the church doing awesome things overseas.
Next time, just try buying it in AUS (came out like start of february here) and getting it mailed over, much easier than breaking the law. and hillsong’s legal dept. is scary.

just thought i put in my 2 cents – joel does do autographs..i’ve asked him and he says its unavoidable..autographs are self-glorifying..tell me again why a young boy needs your name on a piece of paper??..when all glory should be given to God…
He’s a great rolemodel for kids who want to live their life for God and a little signature of his and a simple message could be all a kid needs to be more determined to live for God. I’d sign stuff if it meant that people could get closer to God.
