Why I Love College Basketball
I was watching this live on Saturday. I had NEVER heard of either of these 2 schools. But the story was all I needed to get hooked.
Winona St. had not lost in over a year. They are the defending Division II National Champions.
Barton was the super underdog.
This was for the National Championship.
45 seconds left and Barton down 7. Over…Nope…
My poor kids thought I had gone mad as I ran around the bottom floor of my house screaming for a team I had never heard of.

this is when i actually give a crap about any of it… that’s just awesome.
I love to shout – in church and out of church. My wife thinks the same about me “HE’s a FREEKING-screaming MAD MAN.” Wrestling, UFC, NBA, NFL, and college hoops–im a stinking screaming maniac – I always thought it would be cool just to be an “extra” in the movie Braveheart and be a guy who just aimlessly screams and runs on the battlefield – peace!

i don’t even like basketball and that was cool.
One free throw lost the whole game!!! Almost unbelievable!! I feel more sorry for that guy than I do joy for the winners. If I was a basketball coach – I’d pick the greatest atheletes and just teach them how to shoot free throws. Basketball is 80% talent and 20% technique – but tthat 20% will kill you every time. Free throws, free throws, free throws!!!! It will never change.
