My Birdie Finger
Hi. This is my middle finger.
This finger is very important to me.
No. Not when I’m pissed off.
Mostly when I’m happy.
Playing guitar makes me happy.
But not this week.
This finger is pissing me off.
This finger has a nail that is is swollen with puss.
This finger screams curse words at me when it is barely touched.
This finger must press down hard on strings in order to make them sing.
It hurts like hell.
Actually last night this finger began leaking while playing guitar during vocal rehearsal.
This finger got zero sympathy from 8 females in the room.
What must I do to stop the pain?

Man, that is one ugly finger. Sounds like you’ve got yourself an ingrown fingernail, even though that typically happens to toes. Sorry your finner hurts, Los.
you need to just jam a needle into that little green part and… ohhhh… let the green ozzzz flow. I had the same thing last week. It blows.
Ahh. I have had a swollen puss-finger on many occasions. They usually occur when I pull a hangnail. I’ve had to learn not to pull hangnails because they cause these beautiful, melody-making fingers into sailor-like cursing fingers.
My suggestion: As painfully as it might be, try and squeeze it like a zit. Like Mr. Laird said, “you’ll feel good again”.

i’ve had one just like that, not to freak you out but it got so bad i needed anti-biotics and the doc told me if it wasn’t better in like 2 days he would have to slice it open. i would watch it carefully if i were you especially b/c your fingers are such a big part of what you do. i’ll be prayin’
I had that on my big toe last week. You should have seen all the stuff I got out of my toe on Sunday…..ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
