Post 1000!!!!

Picture 5-7
I have not done ANYTHING 1000 times. Like never. I don’t think I have taken 1000 breaths in my life.
So in honor of my commitment to this thing called Blogging, I will place a long overdue video up on this blog. I know this has graced the pages of thousands of other blogs out there, but somehow missed this one. My stomach will not recover from the laughter this poor news anchor sacrificially gave her air for.

Reasons why it is OK to laugh at the poor news anchor lady…
1. Her feet are as pasty as the south has to offer.
2. “Stop…(Stomping quickly with a silly smirk) Oh…Oh…Oh!!!”
3. “Ugh Ugh Ugh Ow Ow Ow Ow Oh Oh OOOOHHHHHH I can’t breathe”
4. African American studio personality…”Oh Dear?”
5. Her camera man did NOTHING but kept it rolling.
6. She got cocky with her grape stomping right before she ate it. You know what they say?
Pride comes before the fall…

Tell me you laughed out loud.
1000 baby.

I can honestly say that I’ve never seen or heard anyone express their pain, etc. in that way….doesn’t even make sense. Silly reporter.

    Way to go Los!

was she really hurt? Don’t you people even care about other human beings?

That was Kristi’s mom! You shouldn’t laugh at her.

  5. Crystal Renaud 2 April 2007 at 8:08 am #

that’s what happens when you trick someone into stopping stomping on grapes to get ahead.

  6. Todd 2 April 2007 at 8:13 am #

    this made me seriously uncomfortable…

okay…one of my problems is that i can’t not laugh when someone falls & this was a good one (poor lady, sorry). what happened, did the wind get knocked out of her? that’s the only possible explanation for the sounds she was making. oh and, what kinda mom am i? i’m sitting here watching this and kaia walks by and saw me laughing and so she says, “mama, again.” so, what do i do…i replay it, not one, but two more times for her. so then she starts laughing. then “good mom” kicked in, so i tell her, “poor lady, she got hurt”, and kaia responds with, “ahhh, she wants her daddy”.
anyways, that was a good laugh first thing in the morning (at someone elses expense.).

That is where my in-laws live. Plus that is one of the funniest things ever. “Oh dear, I think she is hurt.” Pretty stinkin funny. Congrats on 1000, I think I have 24 posts. Rockin it hard core.

I cannot imagine a more ridiculously appropriate video to celebrate your
    1000th.

    Congrats!

So, what exactly is funny about watching someone break their nose by falling off a raised platform? Sheesh, people. Is cruelty some tenet of your dogma?

    • Jennifer 7 January 2009 at 8:58 am #

She broke the fall with her hands, there is no way she broke her nose landing the way she did on the GRASS. Gotta love all these people who claim she got hurt but post no proof!

My wife would not get off the computer trying to find out what really happened to this lady. It certainly just sounded like she got the air knocked out of her, but that was a pretty high fall.

Did she really break her nose, Buckwheat? Like I mentioned earlier, while it might be funny, she sounded seriously in pain…which is never really THAT funny.

If anybody knows what happened to this lady, my wife and I would love to know.

This should make you feel better Todd…

The grape lady’s name was Melissa Sander, and she worked for MyFox Atlanta, which is Channel 5, in Atlanta, GA. Soon after the “incident” (AKA Bad Day @ Good Day Atlanta), Melissa Sander ran away to WTEN Albany, working as a weekend meteorologist, where according to one person, acted like she owned the world. Of course, everyone knew the real story – that she was just “owned” by a bunch of grapes.
Sometime in 2004 she jumped ship again, this time setting up shop at Fox 29 Philadelphia.  At some pointafter that, it seems she jumped over to UPN 57, which is now known as CW Philly. Apparently, she was fired in 2006.
This is where the trail runs cold. She seems to have disappeared.
Has she finally escaped? Settled down on an island far away where
    nobody has internet access?

HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! She sounds like a hurting dog!

  16. Greg 3 April 2007 at 8:52 pm #

holy snap, that was funny and sad at the same time.

  17. Panhandler 3 April 2007 at 9:39 pm #

I think I started to make the same sound that she did after I watched it 10-12 times while laughing harder each time! I love the way the camera man pans down quickly so that he gets good footage of the impact.

I need to download the sound she makes and make it one of my ring tones!

I watched this video and sat with my mouth open as she mae the great sound effects. I have to say, I was disappointed the camera man did not show her lying on the ground making the sounds.
    Then I watched

Made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the laugh. (It does make me feel more justified in my laughter hearing the update on her path after this video.

Hey, even the chick anchor was trying not to laugh. i can laugh because I have often looked that dumb. I used to fall all the time as a kid and get the wind knocked out of me. Its the stuff great stories are made of. Although I have never been filmed and repeated doing unfortunate things. What’s pitiful is the time delay for anyone to help her. They just kind of stared for awhile. We must find her.
