Sanjaya

Picture 1-3OK. So finally he’s gone. I have been screaming for justice to fall on his head for weeks.
But you know what sucks? I don’t really want to watch the show anymore.
I guess Sanjaya was the only reason worth watching Idol.
Everyone else combined has the collective personality of my 2 week old belly lint.
Mark my words. Idol ratings will now plummet.

it’s about time…you gotta hand it to him though, for someone with such an average voice he did quite well.

Oh, absolutely. I don’t think AI can claim much credibility as a talent show, but they are certainly smart. They turned Sanjaya into a household name, a national phenomenon, so that people who had never watched before tuned in just to see what happened. I think if he hadn’t left this week, then many would have stopped watching for spite (I know I would have been mighty upset to see him chosen over Lakisha) but not as many as will stop watching now because the tension has dissipated.

I’m just glad Sanjaya’s gone. And I’ll still watch AI.

I totally agree, AI is going down now that Sanjaya is gone. I was definitly voting for him…

I have been waiting for him to get canned from day 1!I tivo-d the results show, went to watch it later and it did not record!! I heard about Sanjaya being voted off later, but I can’t believe I missed the moment! I will still watch the show (if my Tivo works)

Two reasons why he got this far: http://www.votefortheworst.com, and Howard Stern.

i don’t know man. since the amount of people actually voting to keep him on couldn’t do it last week, then maybe there are enough people out there still watching for the winners. Or, maybe they will all start voting for the next worst person.

He totally supported my opinion that the show is fixed from the beginning… every season has had someone who was not nearly as good as the rest of the group that stayed in at least half-way and it’s because of ratings… people want to tune in to make sure they get voted off.

You don’t find it funny that they boot him this week, then they have their big ‘giving back’ program next week? They’re not dumb. It’s a business, not a talent show – they’re just being creatively deceptive behind the scenes to get people to come back and watch. Sad thing is, I will still watch it because my kids love it and we watch it together – that makes it worthwhile to me.

I said the same thing to my wife last night. I’m really pretty bummed he left because he was the most entertaining thing about the show. Unfortunately though, she would have been ticked if I voted for him, so I couldn’t really help the kid out!

maybe he, William Hung, and that Chicken Little kid can go on tour together.

The Hatfield home has been ticked off since Gina was booted. But now we’re rooting for someone whose name begins with a J. I can’t say it out loud or they will boot him/her. The Idol people don’t like who we like. EVER.

I literally screamed with excitement last night when they announced he was gone. I think my whole condo building heard me. I’ll still watch it…I love AI.

in my opinion, i don’t see why anyone watches the show anyway.

    [sorry, if that sounded harsh]

I agree – I think Sanjaya was terrible but now there’s no one to really watch now.. But you know I’ll still be watching anyways.
