    Beautiful…and scary! Part of me is thankful that we don’t have mountains in South Georgia…the other part desperately wants something other than the beach. One question, after you climb those straight-up cables, how do you get down????!!!

    Wow! My cousin was up at Half-Dome in mid-June too. I haven’t seen his pix yet, and I had trouble visualizing what he described (whattaya mean the rope ladder went straight up the mountain?!). Now I understand. And I am awed. That last shot of you two, pulling out to infinity…all I could think, “SHABACH!!!!!!!”

    What did you use to shoot the video? Who took that last shot and where were they standing, on a cloud?

    Yo ho!!! You went up to the Yosemite Cable (did I get it right) the same weekend I went up to Mount Rinjani volcano in Indonesia. You rock man! Ours kinda muddy and you of course you can do video!

    I never ever get tired of Yosemite – so amazing. Did the cable climb about 17 years ago. Had the old film camera at the time & it malfunctioned, got 24 photos of nothing! Ha! Must make the climb again sometime I suppose…but now they are requiring a permit to do the cables, something about too many people going up and down at once on busy weekends.

    WOW. I plan on climbing HD on my 50th birthday. Still a few years away but I’ve started saving. It makes the “mountains” we have here in England look like molehills..
