Another Amazing Adoption

Posted on 23. Jul, 2007 by loswhit in Adoption

This morning Heather woke me up saying, “Carlos!!! Get out of bed. You have to watch this!!!”
I grunted, rolled, and dragged to the computer. 6 minutes later I was a crying, 189 lb., waste of a man.

The look in the mother’s face when she knows that her sons will have a family after she passes on is life changing.
Life Changing.

Thanks so much for putting up this post. Like you, I ended up balling like a baby. As a woman who is likely to have to adopt due to complications from a miscarriage, this gave my husband and I a new perspective. Thanks so much!

OK….so, Los, I was being all calloused and tough through the first half of this thing, but I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if that last minute or so didn’t just get me all welled up.

That’s awesome for that family and so sad for the mom and her boys, but again it’s awesome for them to have a family to love them……I’m not sure what I feel…..dangit, Los!

love that video! we got back 2 months ago from Ethiopia from picking up our first baby boy there! Ethiopia is an amazing country with the most beautiful people and i can’t wait to go back and get some big sisters for our son. we made a video of us meeting him for the first time, but it doesn’t make me cry like this one does…babyfaulkner.blogspot.com

I woke my groggily husband (danielfairbanks.com)up and made him watch this video too , we are adopting two siblings from Ethiopia.
We loved your video as well.
Our family moved from Long Beach Ca, to Wa 2 years ago, Its crazy…
I showed my husband your blog, I am just positive that we know some of the same people:we were involved in the christian music scene we went to Grace Brethren and Rock harbor. (This sounds like one of those missed encounter ads)

This is the real spirit of adoption. Thank you for reminding us that this is what it’s really all about.
