I hear that you gotta be careful around that “rain” stuff cause if it touches one of us So Cal’ers it’ll take care of you Wicked Witch of the West style. Luckily we don’t have to worry about that very much here in the OC!
ok. i need to teach you hand held camera lessons in exchange for blogging lessons.
second, um, i thought we dealt with the holey shoes before you left to the ATL. “Carlos,” she said in a motherly tone, “did you take your shoes out of their shadow box?”
Man, it was a down poor here (Temecula) last Sunday! Only during service though so I missed it all. Anyway, get used to it! I lived in Washington for three years and I loved the rain! I miss it so much!
That was hysterical! I know the feeling, as a midwesterner who moved out to the OC at the very tail end of May. You people should really warn others about June Gloom. The rest of the country is totally in the dark on that one. You’ll learn to love the thunderstorms, one of the best things about being back in the midwest for me.
i was on here earlier, but it’s funny that jessica was the first to point out the obvious milli vanilli reference cuz when i looked at it again, just now, the song ran thru my head. “blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah.”
The Milli Vanilli song ran through my head as well.
Just a quick little science note, it’s the thunder that makes the loud sound, not the lightening. However, it’s the lightening that you should be aware of since it’s what does the damage.
Here in the midwest, we have these things called umbrellas…you might be able to pick one up in the ATL…pretty sure they sell them there. I did not realize that it doesn’t rain in California, even though there is a song that specifically says just that! I’ve watched this three times now and I can’t stop laughing. Thanks for posting this…I needed it.(and yes on the Milli Vanilli song.)

As my dear mother used to tell me in her Wes’ Virginnie accent “You ain’t made of sugar darlin’, you ain’t gonna melt!”
Exactly, are you going to melt? Oh, and Myth Busters did a show on running through the rain vs. walk. NO significant diff.
That WAS silly.
wuss.
Water from the sky? I am baffled!
dude, your not going to melt, take it from me i lived in Seattle all my life.
So did anyone else immediately hear the Millie Vanillie (sp?) song go through their head just now? Nice Mythbusters reference too.

We haven’t had any real significant amount of rain this whole summer in the ATL – Los shows up and we have thunderstorms every afternoon.
Thanks a pant load! Now I will actually have to mow my weeds…I mean yard.

“It’s raining and I don’t know what to do”?
Miss South Carolina anyone?
