Just a quick little science note, it's the thunder that makes the loud sound, not the lightening. However, it's the lightening that you should be aware of since it's what does the damage. I know the feeling, as a midwesterner who moved out to the OC at the very tail end of May. You people should really warn others about June Gloom.
