Tonight Was My Last Rehearsal
We have practiced in the 4th floor of the James Building at California Baptist University in one of the piano practice rooms.
We have practiced in building C room 201 at Magnolia Ave Baptist Church.
We have practiced in the old Victoria Community Church back lot building.
We have practiced in my garage.
We have practiced in rented studio space.
We have practiced in Moi’s apartment.
We have practiced in my living room.
We have practiced in the youth room.
We have practiced in my office.
We have practiced in robs living room.
We have practiced for the last time.
Being a homeless church sucks.
Being a homeless church rocks.
Thanks for practicing homeless with me band. 9 years of face melting music was creating in the living rooms and attics of Riverside’s shadiest places. OK. Well maybe not face melting when we went through our Shane Barnard spell.

I feel ya, though we do have a “home” it’s movie theater so practice was a little crazy. Then we were blessed by our new worship singer who just happens to have a recording studio here in Lakeland. Thank You Jesus. It even has a drum kit set up so I don’t have to haul mine out there! Blessings to whatever comes next for you.
“Cut Capos suck”? What?!? Love ‘em. Seriously. I know the ‘real; chords, but when leading worship, less thinking about chords feels like it frees up a little focus to lead.
And congrats on the ATL thang – you going to be involved in their 722 stuff?

I’m a fan of the cut capo too. Except I don’t have one so I slap the kyser on backwards.
Thanks for letting me be a part of it all. I won’t soon forget. I always thought eventually I would be back up on that stage with you. Even though I may get back up on the stage, you won’t be there. And I know “it’s not about you” and blah, blah, blah, but the truth is God used you in a huge way to teach me about the gifts that he’s given me. So yah, if I get back on the stage it will still be great, it just won’t be quite the same.
(P.S. This is in no way a guilt trip. I’m excited for you. These are just my thought right now)
