you know what's funny, is I bet that anyone that made a crude or insulting comment is single, or without children. fast forward fifteen or twenty years when you've had a couple of kids and they're now sixteen or eighteen and especially one of your daughters is attacked for just "wearing her bathing suit". I'm sure you'd change your tune. the more skin shown, the more attention, WRONG attention. there are real life weirdos out there, I don't know, maybe some of them commented on this website, who knows. but I find it curious as to why these people can't OFFER a bathing for sale, not force anyone to wear these yet so many people will comment so negatively as though there had been a law passed to wear these on a daily basis. you have a complete right to comment on these, however, I don't appreciate the outright connection to we as wacky christians because we CHOOSE to wear these. like I don't say you must be on drugs and a complete freak to society because you don't like these. It's just your opinion, everyone has one. christianity should not be hooked to this bathing suit. if christians want to wear them so be it, if not that's their choice to. It's good to be in america( for now). I mean it's not like we're forcing someone to take a government health insurance option or something. that'd be a real debate.

Most of you on this message board should be ashamed of your selves, but because of the type of people you are you won’t be, and you'll just post some vicious comment to my comment here. So the swim suites are not something we are used to seeing. Is that wrong or good? Why should women have to wear show offish stuff to be considered norm. This is not a monarchy no one is forcing anyone to wear anything they don't want to, but leave the poor people alone out there who feel they want to be more covered up. And to the person who suggested a t-shirt and shorts kudos to you, exactly this company just chose to take that a step further and produce something that you don't have to makeshift. We could all use a bit more modesty and wholesomeness in our lives, don’t you agree.

Los, I suppose we can look sexy and please God, too. But do we want to? Maybe you're defining "sexy" in a different way than I am. If by "sexy" you mean trendy, nice to look at -- that's fine. But to me and to a lot of other people, it carries a stronger conotation. It's more than that. For a woman, it means showing more skin than perhaps is advisable, or maybe wearing tighter clothes than the average person, or just exhuding a flirtatious nature that might not be appropriate. Essentially, it's looking good to the opposite sex. In my opinion, sexy is GREAT with your spouse, but we each have to be careful about how we are presenting ourselves to others. As Christians particularly, we should be careful about what we wear and how we talk and what we do, because we are the light of the world telling others about Jesus.

OK. Must chime in because this is disturbing! I read the article that Stephanie linked to and I respectfully disagree with almost everything that the nice lady said. Especially the part about a woman being responsible for a man's sin! The bottom line is THERE ARE NO DIFINITIVE RULES in the Bible when it comes to how we should dress. I hate it when people make up rules and then claim that they are in the Bible somewhere. UGH!

Pages 7 and 8 of this article relate to what the conversation seems to be about here. I find this article helpful in the discussion on modesty.

it's certainly possible that the owners of the company have a passion for modesty...

it's also certainly possible that they couldn't care less about modesty, but have identified a certain demographic who will buy this stuff, so they're looking to make a buck on it.

who knows.

capitalism at its' finest. God bless America...
