Welcome To Atlanta Where The Players Play #5 – My Sundays (Sneak Peak)

Posted on 25. Oct, 2007 by loswhit in Service Programming

So I thought before I delve into the details of what my Sundays consist of I would simply let you take a look at all that is in my world on a Sunday. Josh, my amazing video director, AND KAYE, assistant video director, just finished this video for our soon to be updated website. Just a quick look of what I am in charge of on a given Sunday.
I like to think of it as…”From Cop to Rock”
(rss peeps. you have to come to my site to see this one. its protected)

That just gets me all giddy up inside.

Give some props to Kaye Woods she edited the biggest chunk of this video and Matt Gibson at North Point shot all the footage.

That is SLICK. I love that fast-cut montage style of editing. It is EXTREMELY well done–my favorite part is from 0:40 to 0:50…the way the drum beats in the song are inconspicuously sync’ed to the drum footage during that fast sequence is a beautiful moment. The subtle glow filters on some of the clips make them feel like they are made of gold. Beautiful work!!!

Wow, seeing that makes it a little more real how much you are in charge of. I’d probably freak if I had that kind of responsibility. Then again, maybe our responsibly to simply follow Christ daily is even greater…

Note to self: add “escalator” to 2008 budget…

Just kidding. I’ve always been a fan of NPCC’s material, this one doesn’t disappoint as usual!

That does look really neat. I’ll be in Atlanta next weekend for the Mute Math/Eisley show Saturday, then the Switchfoot/Relient K show Sunday night. I think I’d like to visit… are there directions anywhere and is it easy to get to?

    What are the service times?

Wait… I could google, but I think I’m being lazy.

slick video indeed…not tryin’ to hate, but just curious, what is the ratio of the “missions” budget to the cost’s of running the church? I’m trying to wrestle through some issues and this may help. Thanks.

depends of your definition of “missions”
