Buckhead Church Opener – Ladies and Gentlemen

No breath I can exhale in words can adequately describe how ultimately amazed and proud I am of my creative, music and production teams. The work that my teams put into this opener was incredible.

How on Earth did NO ONE stand up during that?!

That was unreal. But I’m sorry. I would have been getting my dance on.

  3. Meghan 12 November 2007 at 7:13 am #

Ah. I wasn’t fully awake when I got there. But then I was! I was SO proud of Snow and Moxie and the boys, oh heck, everyone.

‘Twas lovely. And it kicked a**.

God moved my family away from Atlanta and Buckhead Church 10 months ago. and then you your family move there only a few months later. crap. i miss that place so much. that was sick.

  5. Jesse Holden 12 November 2007 at 8:15 am #

That was off the meter! It’s hard for me to believe that they are still people out there that doesn’t think that could bring forth life-change, please.

  6. RedByrd 12 November 2007 at 8:27 am #

OH WOW! That was insane!! Yeah I don’t know how the place didn’t erupt?!?! Well, if that erupted at our church not only would I loose my job but the power before we even got half way through! HAHAHA.
Great job dude, by you and your team!

  7. Chris H 12 November 2007 at 8:35 am #

Dude. That was extremely…BOOM! Love the strings. Way to keep it real with classical worship. Throw in a hammond and you’ve got traditional organ style. Word to the ATL.

  8. Dave 12 November 2007 at 8:37 am #

    “Welcome to Church!”
    that was insane!
I agree, strange that no one stood up.

  9. Bradley 12 November 2007 at 8:38 am #

Not only was the opening song amazing, but I loved the lead up to it. Nothing but a string quartet for five minutes and then the place just explodes into the song — why did everyone stay seated?

  10. Lewis 12 November 2007 at 8:46 am #

It was strange seeing everyone be so… still. But the song was awesome. Good job!

  11. Lindsey 12 November 2007 at 9:07 am #

Wow! That was awesome. God will use you to get their fists pumping in no time!

  12. Tara 12 November 2007 at 9:30 am #

Yesterday was amazing! The song rocked and the message was even louder.

That was amazing. We made it down for the 6pm service just in time. Glad I made it. I cant wait to see the program video combined with what gibson shot.

  16. Emily 12 November 2007 at 11:12 am #

Ugh. That is so good it makes me want to quit.

Niiiiiice. Was the whole crowd seated during the opener? did they stay in their seats through that? it looked like it.
It’s hard to imagine a group of people that would sit down during that! except for the group at my church….
seems like you guys worked well to create great energy for the speaker to be able to knock one out of the park. love that.

I liked it that jayce and slug played. Nice to have some “real” rockers out there. Though I liked the worship. Anyone who sings “Lead me to the Cross” besides Brooke Fraser butchers it. IMHO

  19. Katie P 12 November 2007 at 12:10 pm #

Gibson didn’t shoot that. My hubby, Josh, did (Can you tell I’m a little proud of him)

  20. Dustin 12 November 2007 at 12:18 pm #

Fan-freakin’-tastic!!!!!! I so wish I was doing production yeseterday!! Yeah, I can’t understand why more people didn’t stand up either. But aw well, those of us against the wall in the back were getting our groove on and pumped our fists enough for everybody I guess! Great job. Thanks Carlos!

Yes, my face, rocked off. My shorts, crap stained to this day. And when I just watched the video, I crapped in my pants again. Artistically done, BTW rock and roll. Our God getting the praise for it all. Too intense for me to handle.
