Yeah, let’s thank God differently. And let’s also consider the consequences of our choices to spend money on calories we don’t need, our blindness to the rest of the world, and our all-too-often willful decisions to ignore Christ in his most distressing disguise.
Germany at $500 per week! Shocker! That’s a mortgage!
I like the Ecuadorian farmers – they look so joyful and proud – They should be! They got that food from their own garden!
I’m thankully ashamed – it’s healthy to be reminded that we’re sitting in the castle on the hill.
GO POLAND! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (But what’s with the elephant…?)
Man, now I’m hungry.
Nice. Where did you get all the pictures and info?
Hey Carlos, where did you get this from?
Amen.
I’m not Carlos, but:

Wow….
That peanut butter and jelly sandwich I ate for lunch is looking pretty good right now.
These are always such good reminders.
i can’t imagine $1.23 a week…
what a sobering reality.
Ha, I was reading my blogs on my RSS and was reading this post and thought this is so cool I have to show carlos. Who posted this. HeHe it was you. I love ya. I will cut our grocery budget right now! H
Thank you, Los, for the reminder. Everyone, care to join me in a prayer.
Damn I’m hungry now – good thing it’s almost lunchtime!
Wow, that is wild. I’m heading to Africa tomorrow. So I get a “first-hand” experience.
Thanks for the post.
Can you do the same thing with global iTunes expenditures?
The Germans are so high because they know how to party…
I hate to be the guy looking into everyone else’s shopping cart, but that is a lot of alcohol. Both parents would have to drink two beers (big beers) and half a bottle of wine each day to go through that in a week.
yeah, i noticed all of the beer in the german picture, thats my people!!
What a spbering reality. Thank you for posting this. I hate to “steal” from other blogs but may I post this on mine?
I spend way to much money on lunch. I am a spoiled rich person.
thanks for this, it has changed my perspective a lot!
What struck me most was it appears that as the cost of the food decreased, the amount of fresh food seemed to increase. It may be a cultural thing. I eat too much stuff that comes from a box.
God is so good to us here in The United States. I feel sorry for the children in the pictures of the families purchasing the alchohol and soda. Foods such as these WILL cause health problems later on in their lives.
I have read the original article from TIME magazine
