man, great production. my one head-scratcher echoes caleb’s and kevin’s: how/why does a room full of people sit perfectly still during something like that? are they not into it? are they under the impression that church isn’t a place for being responsive? i don’t get it!

My response in one word: “Ichabod”. Look it up.

  19. Ryan 10 January 2008 at 12:31 pm #

I wonder if Jesus or the apostle Paul would OK this inside of a holy and sacred place?

  20. loswhit 10 January 2008 at 12:38 pm #

    Gordon…
My response is one word: “biersch
    Go have one and relax.
    ;)

    And Ryan,
The building is not the church. It is the people.
And you were not there to witness what happened next.
So yea. I know Jesus would be OK with this.
The apostle Paul? Who knows. He was as screwed up a man as you and I.

the way i see things los, is that if you’re not pissing someone off (christian or otherwise) you’re not doing your job well enough.

that’s how i approach my (similar) job at the church i work at. you should have seen the hate mail we got after doing lifechurch.tv’s version of little drummer boy, especially when we had a bleached, mohawked drummer come out and beat the snot of a trash can ;-)

so, kudo’s to bringin’ out the haters!

Insane in the membrane. I would invite my lost friends to that!! I would even charge admission.

  24. Pam 11 January 2008 at 6:58 am #

I’ve never been to buckhead, but do people really sit that still the entire time??? Just watching it I had to get up on my feet…

AWESOME! Church should always be like this.

  25. Los 11 January 2008 at 7:58 am #

Yea. I am working on the people and their interaction. That is going to take some time. It is in the culture

  26. coni andress 11 January 2008 at 4:10 pm #

Keep doing what you do Carlos. If God doesn’t like it, He is big enough to let you know that Himself. He really doesn’t need any mortals to speak for Him. I have been following your blog for months now and I don’t see anything that makes me think that you do not love Jesus and have a heart to serve Him. Work with the wiring He gave you. I love that.

  27. MWS 11 January 2008 at 6:50 pm #

huh? I’m curious as to how that brings glory to God? I am impressed with the musical talent, however.

  28. Chris 14 January 2008 at 1:41 pm #

los man i am speechless. the way i see things with the Apostle Paul is this..he used the things of the culture to reach the culture when he was speaking to the Aeropagus on Mars Hill. He sucked up to the Aeropagus, “I see you are very religious people” so that they would open their ears and hear what he had to say about Jesus Christ.
