Stemming from my lunch with Brad Lomenick, I’m having lunch with Jesse Phillips from Catalyst to help them with some work on taking their blog to the next level.
It is cool to see more and more ORGANIZATIONS blog.
Gone are the days of “websites”.
If you are a company, and want to touch your clients, it is time to rethink what the WEB is for you.
Be it religious, Not For Profit, or secular…
What ORGANIZATIONS do you keep up with through their blog?
Los

i’m a web designer in STL. i do work for an ad agency in KC, and this is one of the things we’ve been educating our clients on, suggesting and implementing for the past 3 years.

it is definitely one way to make your organization (when used right) more personal and approachable. especially when you get negative comments about your organization, and you take the time to respond directly and honestly. it goes a long way in molding the image of an organization

… plus with a blog/CMS format, I’m not being asked to upload new content to 80 different sites every 20 minutes :)

    Los,

I keep up with New Spring, BuckHead, Healing Place Church, Starbucks gossip, fast company and Seth Godin, richbutler.org…just to name a few. However, Ragamuffin Soul is what started my blog addiction.

Rich Butler is so busy that he has to read his own blog to remember what he is supposed to be doing.

I keep up with a number of people, my favorite authors, political figures, etc. But there really aren’t many groups that I know that blog well. I see several people commenting on Buckhead, but is there a Northpoint blog. I haven’t seen it. I was just going to suggest that you propose and push to get one. Maybe it is there and I just haven’t found it. The sermon podcasts are in the right direction.

I keep up with my own company’s blog at http://www.updatable.cc/blog. Other organizations include LifeChurch.tv [Oklahoma and beyond], Oak Leaf Church [Cartersville], Elevation Church [Charlotte], 37 Signals [Chicago], nGen Works [Jacksonville], and Church Marketing Sucks [???].
My favorite [besides my own company's blog] is 37 Signals’ company blog…not the product blog.

I’m involved with offtheagenda.com, a church leadership blog affiliated with Christianity Today’s BuildingChurchLeaders.com. As a result, I’m typically keeping up with MondayMorningInsights.com, daveferguson.org, tonymorganlive.com, and nancybeach.typepad.com, among others.
