Here is the deal. This machine is perfect. But it only works when plugged in. The battery is good. The plug is good. But Apple wants to charge me an arm and a leg to figure out what is wrong with it.
It has a few dings from the last year and a half of love. It was a well loved machine and works as well as it did the day I bought it.
IT might only cost 100 dollars to fix the mag power adaptor. I don’t know. But I don’t have the time or money to research it.

just an FYI…
leaving the programs installed on the computer is neither illegal nor unethical. a single license was issued for each of the programs when they were originally purchased and installed on this computer. the license does not expire if ownership of the computer changes, provided that an additional copy/license was purchased if the programs were installed on another system.

About the whole plug/in battery thing.. I had that problem.. (many that I’ve worked through) on my MacBook Pro.. 1.83 Ghz .. the battery (the replaced one by Apple) had no Amperage!!
I think you can track Amperage in system prefs. But I had none, so the battery said it was charged, the power adapter turned green and nothing. Try that, Apple DID replace it. They also just replaced the power mac adapter when it started melting. Great. (Yes get the extended warrenty)
