This was my first Christmas post divorce… Nobody was buying for me at my house. I did get a quilt from my grandpa that my great great grandmother had made.. and a regifted See’s candy gift card that my ex gave the kids to give to me…after he told me how he won it in a raffle but didn’t want it. Ah, but it’s all good I don’t need a bunch of stuff.
I love to grill out, so I got the Barbeque Bible, recipies for sauces, rubs, marinades, and how to grill, cook, smoke just about everything. A UO giftcard, a shirt from there, some black dress shoes from there and a bunch of homemade quilted, monogramed stuff, my mother is on a sewing kick.
Los, did you get the whole kit? Did you get the shoes too or did you have those already?
I got one of those too, too! My girlfriend also gave me a reflective vest and one of those blinking lights to go with it. Don’t think I can stomach the light though…
I got a little video camera so I don’t have to do blog videos on my cell phone anymore
I also got the last piece of my wedding ring set. I wasn’t expecting that one.
Hubby got an xbox 360 and I haven’t seen him since…

Cam got an electic guitar, and after I got it out of the box, plugged it in and promptly broke one of the stings he looked up at me and said “can Mr. Carlos come over and show me how to do this?” Good times….
Favorite present: A Tiffany’s bracelet…complete with the little turquoise bag and box that every female loves to see from my Daddy. I told him he has ruined future guys for me (I mean who can live up to spoiling me like that?)
We got the best early Christmas gift– the referral of our baby girl waiting for us in Korea!
I got some warm slippers and my Josh Groban CD from my wonderful hubby!
This year in my stocking, I found my first Bible. That was cool. My mom was cleaning out stuff and ran across it. I think it was given to me for my baby dedication or something like that. That ranks up there with one of the best Christmas presents ever.
Makes up for the sewing kit made from a pot holder, and the “there’s no man like snowman” embroidered sweatshirt that she gave me a few years back!

Hey, I’m told by some of my male musician friends that if you will buy girl jeans, you can get the fit of the $150 jeans without the price tag. They aren’t even embarrassed to admit that they do this. I don’t know. I’m a girl, so I can’t say for sure if it works. Just a thought.

Zak, you don’t need Nikes. There are sites that show you how to improvise your current shoes. I just cut a small hole in the tongue of my shoes and slipped it in.

Jan 2…I’m back and on a strict training program compliments of myself to get ready for the ING 1/2 marathon in March…I’ve got a time to beat this year…MINE (the slow one) from last year! Any buckhead runners out there interested…. ?

I finally got the beloved iPhone, and I freakin love it!
My new job keeps me working nearly every day of the week. We were closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so I got to spend three days with my kids.
Best Christmas present I ever got!
I had really big gifts for my birthday and anniversary this year (both in the fall), so I got to enjoy the giving part more!
Hubby got a real winter jacket (we need it in CT – it was very cold for him last year without it!) a Wii game and the Dangerous Book for Boys.
The kiddos got a lot (of course) and their favorites were a Play-doh “tub” with tools and molds and such and a baby doll stroller.
My best gifts were my military hubby being home during the day this week and my mom, dad, and brother visiting from VA.
