These are antlers.
I got them from 6yearmed and not so diva darcie.
Why?
Because I told Darcie I liked this post and picture…
Daniellesub
Well Lo and Behold…
What is on my head was in my mailbox yesterday.
I have never actually met 6yearmed or Darcie.
I am going to wear these things all night.
This is just one in 1000 ways this blog has come to LIFE.
Have you ever received anything from another blogger or met any in “real life”
Please Tell…

this is one of my favorite stories about my blog…. in the spring of 2005, i met a youth pastor outside of phoenix who was doing some of the same kinds of things with his students. we started linking, commenting, etc. later that spring, he invited me to come out and visit and help him with a community outreach week he was doing with his students. he flew me out [for free] that summer for four days, i hung out with his kids and leaders, helped out with the outreach, crashed in his living room, ate meals with his wife and kids. an amazing time.
we still stay in touch and he’s gone on to plant a church and still doing awesome things with his community.

We belong to the Holt adoption online bulletin board and many of us have become friends (we have get togethers, see each other at the Holt picnic every June, etc.Hey, you guys should join us– it’s in Fullerton!). We have a Christmas card exchange too. It’s been a real lifeline for our adoption processes. Last year, I happened to mention that I was having a Thomas the Train theme for my 3 year old’s birthday party. I got 2 gifts from people out of state! One was a train cookie cutter and another was 2 Thomas windbreaker jackets.

    Love the antlers!!

Hi, I foudn your blog through Adam and Dan and love reading it!

A fellow blogger (that I didn’t know) came up to me at one of my husband’s shows and said, “Hi, I’m _______. I read your blog all the time!” Then her mom introduced herself to me a few weeks ago at church, I think it’s pretty neat!

:) That was FUN! It was all Darcie’s idea.

You know..we could have met in the ATL, if you didn’t have so many darn e-mail’s clogging up your inbox. Just kidding.

I have had a few close blogging friends send me things as well. It DOES bring it all to life. Life is fun.

A couple of years ago I planned a trip to California with a friend I’d only met on blogs and we stayed with friends we’d both only met on blogs. I’m glad that none of us turned out to be mass murderers.

Also, I’ve met the famous Flowerdust and Chris and several others a few times in person.

Lots of fun… quite amazing, actually, the community this blog world has become.

So if I compliment your readers dows that mean you’ll send some to me?

OH yeah… One lady sent me a ton of cd’s from a conference I so wanted to go to… and a book and goodies… the wildest thing… my old art blog… I met this lady, befriended her and 5 years later we are still buddies.. two years ago I went out and spent a week with her and her family in TX… she came here once too…

Biggest things… One guy from CA wanted to support my ministry, and I was looking to get some equipment. I asked for prayer… he looked up the whois on my domain, got my address and sent me money. A check. A real one. Stunned me. Then a few months later I posted that I’d be gone for a few weeks as I was going home. God told this dude I didn’t have the money (I didn’t and was borrowing and selling guitars)… he emails me asks for my paypal… I didn’t want to give it to him but thought.. hrm. I wake up the next day and there is 600 bux in there (the exact amount I needed!). Not kidding.

I’ve met Randy B. from IHOP (emailed him a few times) and he blessed me with some stuff that changed my LIFE. Not to mention some advice. Good dude. I’ve met two or three others also.

Blogging is changing the world. It’s much smaller now. :)

So I can’t wait to see all the crazy stuff you get now from this thread! LOL

We have an online message board for parents of kids with Down syndrome and we get together at least once a year. We have SO much fun hanging out with our beautiful kids! Most of them read my blog too. ;)
