    Hi Carlos,

Congrats to your friend, and thanks for the very cool offer to answer any question asked. In light of your abundance of question-answering-work ahead of you, I thought I’d take a little pressure off and do something out of the ordinary by answering my own question. I wrote re: adoption and longing that comes with it. See:

Having some time to ponder my own question, this is what I have come up with: While I am cemented in my conviction a body/heart birth are one in the same, adoption has two kinds of longings:
    1) the longing during the process that two governments will pave way for me to get to my daughter — success — we’ve had her just over two years, and recently celebrtated her 3rd bday, &
    2) the longing, which seems to be triggered by her bday, for her birthmother… the courage she must have had to protect her pregnancy with all the culteral and environmental factors against her — I long that our Lord holds her gently and blesses her all the days of her life for sharing her body with my baby so that I could be forever mommy.

    Blessings to you and yours,
    Roxanne

Little babies rock my world. We’re all so intricately woven…it’s always amazing to see a perfect little person come to be. My best friend and her husband just welcomed a little girl into the world 6 weeks ago, and I’m amazed at how much she’s grown and changed every time I see her.

Congrats to you friend. And I’m glad your world was brightened, once again, by a kid. :)

There is nothing in this world that compares to a newborn. I’ve had 5, and those are the times I miss the most. Very sweet baby. I’m sure your friend is enthralled!

Everything in the world is just ok when you are holding a baby, a child, even your grown up child. I love all my babies and they help put into perspective, for me, just how much our Father loves us. God bless you Carlos you are doing an awesome work.
