Unleash Web Resources

I don’t do church conferences. I don’t. I don’t like them. Maybe because we never went to them while I was at Sandals. Maybe because I’m always picking them apart and putting a list together on how they could have been put together better. Maybe because I am a jaded old man. Maybe because I don’t need to know how to get along with my senior pastor. You get it.
So what do I do?
I choose carefully.
You ALL know my love for re:create. This conference kicks any conferences tail I have ever been to. Why? Because it is not a conference. It does not look, smell, feel, or taste like a conference.
Well a new conference is on my radar. One that does not look, smell, feel, or taste like a church conference. It looks like a kick in the pants. And that is what I need right now.
A kick in the pants is defined as a swift, momentary, foot placement on the rear of your body.
This conference lasts as long as a normal work day.
This conference has music being led by their local band. (This is a big deal for me)
This conference gives me 2 sessions to hear from one of the most passionate speakers in the southeast. And one that feels that the message of Christ cannot be stopped.
This conference lasts as long as a normal work day.
Did I say that already? Oops.
Bloggers galore from the southeast will convene on one location.
I am feeling like setting the world record for largest blogger group hug in blogging history.
Tony, Perry, and Steven and lots more of the people behind the blogs you read will be there.
Oh. And it is 75 bucks. Seriously? You can’t beat that with a 2 headed spoon.
See. I’m ready for Anderson already.

I just hate when a Church does a conference and drags in a band from outside ( a “famous” artist)……….ooooh it draws a crowd and is deeply insulting to the musicians of the Church, like they are not good enough!
A good conference of any kind is hard to find

I’ll be there! Looking forward to it. Went last year and it rocked. Like a blogger circus….Morgan’s blogging breakout was great too. See ya there….I’m the chubby guy with the sparse beard.

I am thinking about going to check out Perry and the NewSpring crew.

Went last year and loved it! Perry’s messages were the best thing about the entire conference. We met one of their greeters and we were so taken with her that we invited her to come down for a weekend and train our folks! Don’t miss out on the BBQ in Greenville if you get a chance to get away!

Retreats! I can’t stand Retreats! The two Conferences I have gone to in my 22 yrs of being a Chrisitan have both been great, but like you, I chose wisely.

I do love Perry Nobel thou.

it’s the bomb; you’re right…it was great last year. if for no other reason, go so you can worship your face off and not have to cue the lights! (that was my favorite part.) so i take it i’ll see you at the blogging break-out?

I’m with you about most conferences. The only other exception I’ve found is the Catalyst Conference that I go to every year.

I won’t be able to make it to Unleashed this year unfortunately but I sure would love to!

I’ll be there all the way from the UK. Taking the opportunity to visit a few churches over a week to learn.

We’re bringing 15 or 16 from our crew with us. Abs, Carolyn, Jen and a whole bunch more of our team will be there.
