  11. Rich 29 January 2008 at 1:55 pm #

Crazy. True. Hilarious!! My only regret is that I can’t see Brian Reese trying it right now.

  12. Tony Chavez 29 January 2008 at 1:56 pm #

I think I might be weird too… i just did it like seven times in a row. I can’t make myself mess it up. Maybe it’s because I’m left handed…..

  13. phillip 29 January 2008 at 1:57 pm #

If David is weird, then I am too. I just did it with no problems.

  14. Derek 29 January 2008 at 2:23 pm #

I also can do it no problem.

  15. Keith 29 January 2008 at 2:23 pm #

Two tries and I’m good as gold. Great to torture the rest of the staff with though!

  16. Ben Workman 29 January 2008 at 2:31 pm #

I ran across the hall and now have 5 dorm mates looking like basket cases.

  17. Russ 29 January 2008 at 2:34 pm #

    /failed.

But I’m sure if I tried it over and over and over and over and over….

  18. cdenning 29 January 2008 at 2:39 pm #

I can do it after a couple attempts. If you are having trouble, try this:
Move your foot at a fairly quick pace and move your hand at a much slower pace. It worked for me.

  19. Patrick Sievert 29 January 2008 at 2:55 pm #

I tried it and got dominated, so I told my brother to do it, and he pulled it off right off the bat!

Then I realized it was because he was a dirty lefty. Cheaters.

  20. Laura 29 January 2008 at 3:01 pm #

I’m sitting at my desk trying not to bust out laughing! I cannot do that to save my life.

  21. Terrace Crawford 29 January 2008 at 3:03 pm #

  24. Todd 29 January 2008 at 3:11 pm #

You know those dreams you have where you can’t run away even though something scary is chasing you? It feels like that.

  25. matt g 29 January 2008 at 3:34 pm #

  26. Stephanie 29 January 2008 at 3:43 pm #

I’ve been reading your blog since last summer and have never commented. Not even on the come out of hiding day or whatever it was called.

But today I had to comment because this made me laugh on a dreary day. Thanks!

p.s. I now have a new goal in life… to master this.

  27. Micah Foster 29 January 2008 at 5:02 pm #

    just draw the 6 backwards

  28. cool dad 29 January 2008 at 5:10 pm #

    Can do. Yes, I passed!

  29. Los 29 January 2008 at 5:24 pm #

I demand proof. I want to see it.
    youtube people.
    bring it dont sing it

  30. Jeff 29 January 2008 at 5:44 pm #

    “Dad…what are you doing???”

All over the nation people are sitting at their computers, doing air circles and laughing hysterically at themselves, while their families look at them like they are nuts.

    Nice work.

  31. Naz 29 January 2008 at 5:51 pm #

I got a few hang ups, so I can see what you mortals are up against, but really no problem. Maybe it’s not working because I’m not at a desk?

  32. Marty 29 January 2008 at 6:04 pm #

I’m with you bro. Cant do it

  33. Emily F. 29 January 2008 at 6:57 pm #

You can do it if you write your 6 in the air starting in the middle of the six…with the circle part and go clockwise…to the top of the 6.

  34. tamara cosby 29 January 2008 at 7:05 pm #

SOOO busted out laughing when I tried and failed this!

  35. Joy 29 January 2008 at 8:06 pm #

I can do it! My husband (consumingworship.org) is SO impressed. Maybe it’s because I’m a pianist?

  36. Crystal Renaud 29 January 2008 at 8:45 pm #

yeah i can do this…. easily.

  37. JTCrespo 29 January 2008 at 8:46 pm #

I figured there’s more than one way to draw a 6, so I started from the inside of the 6 and went out in the same direction my foot was moving. It worked…

  38. mrs. bear 29 January 2008 at 9:53 pm #

I’m a genius. I can totally do this!

  39. Avril 29 January 2008 at 11:04 pm #

    I can do it!

My roommate, on the other hand, not so successful. We both look like idiots…

  40. Meredith 30 January 2008 at 5:30 am #

As a lefty, I totally just did an experiment. Can do it with my right side, no problem! Left side, not so much. I love our brains!

  41. aaron 30 January 2008 at 6:33 am #

ok, my foot changed directions after i was done drawing number six in the air…i hate this.

  42. Katie P 30 January 2008 at 6:41 am #

Well, now you know what I’ll be working on from home today.

  43. Daniel Koster 30 January 2008 at 9:50 am #

My circles changed more to ovals, but still clockwise ovals. Maybe being a drummer helps?

  44. alicia 30 January 2008 at 11:37 am #

I was like – whatever, I can totally do this…. Ummm I cannot.

  45. pete 30 January 2008 at 12:13 pm #

i was slumped over on my desk laughing hard and trying to muffle the sounds…

the mere thought of this exercise made me snicker… and then actually trying it got me rollin’.

after a few attempts, i got it!

    fun stuff!

  46. audrey habeck 30 January 2008 at 7:13 pm #

oh my goodness! cracking up! i was sitting in a room full of people when i read this. i tried it – unsuccessful – everyone else tried it – same thing! made for a good laugh! thanks!

  47. Pat Callahan 30 January 2008 at 7:43 pm #

Weird – I can do this easy. Am I doing it wrong? Is this a mind trip?

  48. Becca 31 January 2008 at 7:16 am #

I did it with my students. It was a nice break. Its because the same side of the brain is controling that side of your body and its gets confused. It is possible to do though with some practice. The brain is very maliable.

  49. Matt 2 February 2008 at 8:03 am #

I’m broken. My foot is still going counter clockwise.
