A Hug With A Mug
I got a text message image in my phone the other day from a faithful Ragamuffin Soul reader Loran Lichty.
Loran is the Group Life Pastor at New Life Church in Renton, Washington.
He was standing in front of the original Starbucks in Seattle, Washington.
Lo and Behold I got this in the mail today.
Thanks Loran!!!

los: the new facial hair configuration works well for you. just thought it’d point that out. nice mug, too…
That….is one sweet souvenier!
right now your Technorati is at 777. it’s a holy day!
that starbucks is always packed to the max. usually just full of tourists.
sweet
You will have to make a journey there at some point. –like a journey to mecca– It’s pretty cool. Or, you could get free coffee from Mr. Longbreak instead.
I have one of those mugs as well… they’re massive… or maybe thats an normal american size :-p
That was one of the stops my brother and sister-in-law made on their honeymoon. I can only hope to visit Seattle someday and peruse its musical and coffee-loving goodness.
And…it is indeed a holy day. Good call, CD!
No, they are biggies. I’ve got the Detroit version (I think there are less than 8 Starbucks inside Detroit City Limits). By my best esitmation, these mugs hold 50% more than a normal mug.
I preheat mine with hot water in the microwwave to keep it warm ’til the end. Otherwise I’m gulping it down or drinking cold coffee.
Starbucks…yea, yea.
What’s this about getting a text image to your phone…your iPhone!?!?! Do tell!
So fun to check in on your blog and see my way cool brother in law! Have been following your blog since Loran suggested I do so. If you are ever in Seattle you must check Loran out at his church. If you are bringing LA to ATL, he’s bringing ATL to SEA.
Peace,
Roxx

Hey Los,
It’s good to see you putting up a post on my amazing co-worker. Loran introduced me to your site about a month ago and recently told me he was going to send you the mug.
Cheers to you and Loran for introducing me to the blogging world, I’ve been blogging ever since!
Yeah, it’s right across the street from the Pike Place Market. Quite a swanky joint — but if you want coffee, hit he one around the corner. It’s not packed out.
