this is so, just breath taking. im so glad this trip got organized. i remember the first time i adopted a child, it was at one of shaun’s shows, and from them on, i have been amazed to see God’s love spread like wild fire through the hearts of people like you and i for these people that have next to nothing. i pray that this trip helps many many many kids and families and they see in you guys, that same love for God that we have. keep up the great work!

Wow. I’m Shannon’s friend and I know just how much she was anticipating that meeting. Thanks for posting this video–I know some of the connections aren’t great and it’s hard to get the photos and videos up.

Y’all are doing a great job keeping us updated. I want to scoop every one of them up and hug them to within an inch of their lives. They are all just beautiful and precious. Please give Shannon a hug from me and let her know I can’t wait for her to come home and share even more.

You know what is utterly depressing…most folks could sponsor 2 or 3 children with what they pay for their cable/satellite bills…I wonder how many will make the sacrifice?

  28. Jamie Ivey 16 February 2008 at 7:27 am #

Thank you for this. Nothing like a good cry early in the morning. I can’t wait for the day that I meet our little girl in Peru!

I have always given to missions at my church through faith promise and up until I was satisfied that I was doing all I could for the cause of Christ. But that video reached right into my heart and pulled something out that is beyond description. I want to sponsor a child now. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Los, I am an avid reader of Shannon and Sophie’s blogs, and now yours as well as the other Compassion bloggers. Thank you so much for sharing the video updates- they are priceless and make me cry every time. This video is probably my favorite one. We have not sponsored a child, YET. But we will. Lisa in Texas
