Splat Your Tat – 81 Works of Art

Here you go. So I figured this is what we would do. I stuck in this little widget at the bottom of this post.
If your tattoo is in this collage of ink…place your name and blog address in the Mr. Linky widget and you will get an automatic link with my traffic from my page to yours. Then on your page, place the image of your tattoo and the story behind it. This way we will have Ragamuffin Soul be the central hub of all the artwork and the stories behind the art. The stories will be on your page and all the art will be here. Get it?
Good.
So if you have your ink here…please fill out the widget at the bottom of the post and we will get to hear the stories behind all the tattoos.
AND…if you did not submit your image in time, go ahead and do a post on your blog about your ink and feel free to place your link in the widget as well. Just link people back here on your post so everyone can get the traffic!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Splat Your Tat v.1
So there you have it. Ink from YOU GUYS. Ragamuffin Readers have some HOT ink.
So play along.
If you have an image up here…Tell Us About It!!!
Simply fill out the little form below and just link back to here from your blog and get your readers to share their tattoo stories as well linking here. And everyone. Join in the fun and click the links below to find out about these stories. They are really rad.
So go ahead.
Which Ragamuffin is your favorite?

Look at you, whipping out the Mr. Linky!
This totally fascinates me, even though I have absolutely nothing to contribue (though there is this one mole on my shoulder….)
Dude, your sites is giving me idea’s
this turned out really well. i’m glad you posted all of our tattoos. there are some really pretty ones there to say that i have a favorite, although i am a little partial to mine.
Thanks Carlos…
I am working on a video now that will show all my tattoos… keep checking my blog and leave suggestions for my new tats. Peace.
Wow, there are some amazing tats that were shared. Funny the older I get, the more I seem to want one. Early mid-life crisis maybe?
i like “forgive” and “hope haiti”
simple is good
I’m diggin’ on the “Die Daily” on the wrists…rip off tat for me?
I dig “HE>I”. That was quite clever. Also like the “rooted in love” ink.
Rock on dude! Great stuff. Now I gotta write my story. Thanks for doing this.
I’m partial to the angel/devil hearts =)
Nice Tats!
I’m diggin the Shirley Partridge Sunburst Anatomical Heart! WoW!
The big blue stained glass back (I think) – that’s a lot of ink!
They are all awesome, personal favs are the trees.
Man—–HE>i just totally blows me away! It is John 3:30–my life verse—in a nutshell! So cool.
ok, now I know you hate me cuz’ I sent in both my tattoo’s and you didn’t put either of them on here. And they are cool too.
Way to leave out your legacy, Los… No love!

my wife told me to close my eyes on one of those…
My mom aint no Shirley Partridge!
Ok I got the story on my little blog now…

Thanks for putting mine up! There’s a lot of good work out there…I can’t wait for more.
Thanks for putting your time/effort into this…I’m sure it took a while. Great idea and it was fun to precipitate.
Ah, praise the Lord!
I love the one with the “chaste + pure daughter of God” who is pulling down her pants!
This site sure glorifies God (scratch that) in mean Self…I mean “Los”.
My Tat is the one with the sacred banner. It is only half done. It will have a gnarly background and a Sacred heart behind the banner.
I owned a successful business and the Lord called me into full time ministry. I had to make a choice, I chose a life devoted to God. I got this tatt to remind myself that my life is Sacred, and completely His.
I love the art guys and gals!
alot of ink up there…that brings joy to my heart.
I’ll post something on my blog in a day or so, have a big conference tomorrow and a concert at night… I’m slammed… but mine are the dove with flames (tribal) and the tribal butterfly. They are side by side on 6th row from the bottom. I have one more which you graciously didn’t show (ha!, thanks… lol I thought you’d find it funny…) Anyhoo. My butterfly I got three months after my last chemo and radiation treatment after fighting cancer. I had been fighting a pre cancerous condition for a few years that left me almost dead, cost me my career, and my life. It progressed into cancer and put me in battle. I’m still suffering effects from it 7 years later but it totally changed who I am. I was such a glossy eyed child. I grew up very quickly after that and decided I had no choice, but to live every day like it was my last.
The tribal dove is only a few months old. I got it one saturday night when a friend of mines son was home… he was a tat guy starting out and I wanted a symbol of the new life God was breathing into me over the past 6 months. My whole life has literally changed in the past 6 months and I wanted something bold to show that. I always liked that symbol, and my favorite band is disciple..(this was on a cd of theirs) so it fit. 45 minutes later I had it. LOL.
The other one… we won’t get into that. I have 4 more planned. One is incredible, I”m still working on the drawing.. but it is big, and black and white and has golgotha, roman arches, the cross and one of my favorite verses.
Soon.
Thanks for posting all the ink Los. I am a big fan of tattoos, and have just started my collection. my favorites are the ones with the bright vibrant color and Lee Houghton’s.
I posted my story as well.
Peace…
Dang… thats a lot of inkage! Cool post Los. I really like some of the designs. I am not inked but have thought about the idea of getting one, for sure. I was talking about tats with someone the other day and the person said “people who get sleeves and fullbody tats should beware because if they ever need an operation and doctors need to make an incision where the tats are they will deny service because of the possibility of ink poisioning.” Is this true?
Got to go with the super sweat 8′ Celtic cross……Cheers Matt !!!
the hope/haiti one is pretty sweet.
this is one of the coolest posts ever.
I enjoyed the vast majority of the ink presented. I’m not a bold, bright color type of guy (celtic cross, middle of my back), but I can appreciate the art of those who are.
I hope that none of you are offended that I’m not going to link to this post from my blog…My wife, son and I are doing ministry in Kerch, Ukraine and I use my site as a ministry tool. Since I get a fair number of hits from Ukraine and the Christian community here is very conservative, I am trying to be sensitive about flagrantly displaying my tattoo and double tongue studs.

Guys you think your tat’s are cool??
huh check this mad one out…trust me you need to see this

Mine is the sleeve of the dragon in the water. I got this 18 years ago in Cali and need to have it touched up. Thanks for posting my pic Los.
Wow, check me out. I get the honor of having my tat listed first! It’s been a year since I got my first one and I’m very much itching for #2. Got some ideas, but haven’t finalized anything just yet.
My favorite? The one on the white guy.
I’m an ass, I know.
well now don’t i feel like the minority by not having a tattoo haha… hmmm maybe someday… if i learn to not be afraid of needles… and pain…
there’s some pretty amazing art up there!
i do have to say that petey crowder (i think?)… that is the most amazing tree i have probably seen… with the roots and the heart and the word “hope”… props! usually tree tats just look cheesy to me but that is really really well & intricately crafted.
Wow! There’s some really great artwork here! Thanks for posting this Carlos. I can’t wait to read everybody’s stories.
this turned out really cool. it is really making me want to get another one. but i have kindly been told several times that 7 is all ready enough.
but i will probably get another…pretty soon.
In answer to terrance’s question… I’ve seen quite a few instances of surgery incisions that pass thru tattoos and the subject of ink poisoning hasn’t come up. What I have heard is the debunking of the myth that a pregnant woman can’t get a spinal block if she has a lower back tattoo. Basically as long as the tattoo is fully healed, there is no longer any foreign substance in the skin.
nice body art going on here!! thanks for the post Los…definitely pushing me to get another one
Hmm my tattoo on my hip must have offended someone cause it’s not up anymore = (
But my foot tattoo still is it’s the oriental water with cherry blossoms.
Don’t know why neither of mine were included even though I left my flickr links but alas, there are some awesome ones on here.
Mine is the furry on on the top right. My wife has the same one one her back (which is much more attractive)
It is a Hebrew symbol of stacked letters that means “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.”
Yeah…my girl and I are pretty entwined. Rob Silva from Sid’s in Tustin, CA did an awesome job on our linework.
Gotta go with the second to last picture, the music note on the shoulder with shading and the rose and forearm banner that reads alisha.
back@ Jess,
Thanks for the compliments!
To everyone else_
I just posted my story (sorry for the delay) @ mrcrowder.com. Even if it’s not the first post later in the day, it should stay on the front page of my blog for several days.
I am very slow too, so my story is finally up. I’m the orchid on the foot one!
Mines the dove. It’s on my back a little lower than my shoulder blade.
Also, I the stained glass piece on my inner left arm, near my arm pit.

I love the he>1 one. And second place goes to “He saved the best dirt for me.” However, the whole stinking post is going on Fantastic Fridays!

Great tats. I’m too poor to amass the collection I want. Mine is pictured above – skull and cross bones with “Circa 1980″ in banners around it. My birth year and being born into death (separation)…it’s one of many to follow in telling my story of coming to Christ – via my skin.
I would like to post my tattoos how can I send them to you.. Thanks
