It has stripped me from seeing jack and figuring out how the heck Tony Almeda survived a lethal injection to the neck.

I have had to become a LOST fan to fill my TV lusts.

I’ve had to come up with my own “that’s what she said” lines.

Oh how I long for more of the office. Not to mention, there are only 8 episodes of Lost.

  5. Chris Green 8 February 2008 at 11:31 am #

I’ve been forced to watch marathons of America’s Next Top Model.

  6. Tracey 8 February 2008 at 11:35 am #

I have to listen to my husband whine about “no Heroes yet” every Monday. ~:-)

I’ve also missed the January restart of most of “my” shows. I end up watching hubby play video games most evenings lately.

I’ve been managing without “the office” – and now lost is back. But, for the most part, we’ve been turning off the tv and reading a lot of evenings

TV is so 1990s. Geez, I didn’t realize people still watched it. I thought they were striking cause there was no work or someting.

  9. Chris Baker 8 February 2008 at 12:01 pm #

The office, Scrubs, 24…can’t wait…particularly The Office.

  10. drew powell 8 February 2008 at 12:02 pm #

I would have to chime in with “the office”. For sure a void in my life.

  11. tunz 8 February 2008 at 12:05 pm #

There was a tv writers strike?

  12. Andrew T. 8 February 2008 at 12:17 pm #

It is amazing that you could hardly tell the difference with all these people on strike! Who knew?

  13. Jason Cole 8 February 2008 at 12:19 pm #

Hero’s is all I cared about. LOST is on and going so all is right in the world. :)

I am all caught up in The Biggest Loser. Reality TV to assuage the detox off of Grey’s Anatomy. Oh yeah, speaking of detox, here is my latest… Celebrity Detox. I know, I know. It’s a little embarrassing.
Now that the strike is over, please pray that we will get some movies here in Wilmington. I have ejoyed being at home and it would be a blessing to work (doing hair in film) in my own town. I think my church family is on board with that idea too. So, pleeeease help a sistah out.

I have realized that with the exception of Lost, I don’t care about any TV shows. I am getting more done around the house and spending more time with my husband after the kids are in bed. I would like to think that other Americans have learned that they don’t need TV in their lives!

  16. cool dad 8 February 2008 at 12:33 pm #

Didn’t really affect us. It put off Heroes and cut short LOST, which really stinks.

  17. katie green 8 February 2008 at 12:35 pm #

FYI: chris is not forced. He lives for Tyra.

  18. rick 8 February 2008 at 12:38 pm #

This has literally affected every day of my life since November. You see, thousands of people were laid off from a certain production company that I am not allowed to mention, due to the strike. That’s where I come in. Benefits terminations, COBRA enrollments, confused phone calls….
Not to mention I miss the Office. Now my world can go back to normal :)

  29. Laura 8 February 2008 at 2:12 pm #

    I miss GREY’S

I have not heard a thing about the strike being over, but I have to say I am glad if for no other reason than it will save us from the downward spiral to the most asinine ideas for reality shows.

Personally, I like 24, but last year was the first season I watched live vs catching up on all of them via DVD and it was not enjoyable having to wait a week for each episode. Besides, I fully expect we’ll see Jack’s dad again too, because he left him wounded on the bottom platform next to a working boat while he ran away to an upper level escape. Who’s to say dad didn’t get on the boat and avoid death.

My wife and I enjoy Lost, and man was last night’s episode full of some new twists. Gotta know WHO are these people in the helicopter and who does Ben know on their boat? We looked up the ghostbuster to find he was in Family Man with Nick Cage and Don Cheadle as the store clerk arguing with Cheadle at the beginning.

The only other scripted shows we watch are How I Met Your Mother, ER, Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, plus I watch Las Vegas. 24 not being on has helped a bit because the DVR gets congested on Monday nights while I record professional wrestling (my one guilty pleasure).

  31. Steve 8 February 2008 at 2:49 pm #

Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes, 24 all been robbed from me. AND I’ve had to see more trailers for “reality” TV shows than I ever want to see again. I mean really, American Gladiators on PRIME TIME TV???? C’mon!

  32. Malachi 8 February 2008 at 3:04 pm #

I have been watching The Office Seasons 1-3 on DVD… over and over again. I have been dying to see what will happen with Jim & Pam. Oh, and the most underrated new show on NBC: Chuck. I just hope it comes back!

  33. Lana 8 February 2008 at 3:17 pm #

I’ve missed The Office, but have picked up a new vice: Friday Night Lights. Love it. But tonight is the season finale! and somewhere I read it could be the series finale.

  34. yeidy 8 February 2008 at 3:32 pm #

Amen to Crystal missing Greys Anatomy!!!

  35. Abe 8 February 2008 at 3:45 pm #

definitely missing Heroes. the release of Seinfeld seasons 8 and 9 on DVD were my salvation.

  40. FireMom 9 February 2008 at 7:44 am #

I gotta ditto all The Office speak. I’ve been going nuts without new episodes featuring my silly Polish crush on John Krasinski. Yeah, I’m totally lame. And my Husband knows it. Since he has a crush on (that) Jenna. LOL We’re awesome.
