OK. Go here for the rules and explanation.
But DON’T FORGET!!!
The main rule is that in order to place your link below you have to link back in your post so people can enjoy this virtual creative conference.
Quick snippet of the rules…

Every Thursday YOU write a post on your blog as to what creative element, secret, process, whatever took place at your church the past week or the week coming up. Let’s try and limit it to a large group gathering of some sort.
Music, Art, Video, Production, Scripts, Sermon Illustrations ect. You get the vibe.
And then we will circle up here and you will get to link to your blog on the front page of Ragamuffin Soul and not the comment section so all the readers can get ideas. It will be like a creative conference on steroids every week that you don’t have to pay 300 dollars for and take vacation to attend.

My entry for todays Creative Chaos is our opening video we ran for Good Friday.
It started off in creative meeting as an idea to go around a bunch of different spots in Buckhead and have different people show different scriptures on cards.
All these scriptures had to do with the stations of the Cross.
Well then Amber decided that it would work better in a dark setting so we scrapped the city idea for a later shoot.
After that Amber and Josh decided to have staff members write out different parts of Isaiah 53.
Writing it on cards turned into writing it out in a creative way.
Then the shoot itself was a masterpiece by Josh and Kaye.
Good Friday.
Light went down.
Crowd got silent.
Video played.
Enjoy.

So now. What did you guys do last week or what is going on this week in your creative worlds?
Fill out Mr. Linky below.
Then share on your blog and link back here.
[auto link script below for you RSS peeps]

Much Love.
Let’s try and get 70 entries of creativeness to help each other out this week!!!

great idea carlos. loved your isaiah 53 video!

we tattoed someone live during the easter sunday service as we opened a dialogue on jesus in the context of other religions. the point: God has imprinted the desire to know Him on every heart globally.

I have just recently started doing video work for my church. I hope that we can get to the point of making videos like that one! That was freaking awesome!

We started Easter services in the dark with music trying to capture the tension and fears of that first morning. The song we used was True Love. The video was a simple black and white etcha sketch type deal. Checkout http://www.sojax.org to see the video. You can’t hear it on the video, but the crowd erupted in the middle of the song!

Thanks for the cool idea again .. just ours as a creative/service recap for Easter Sunday. The Buckhead video was awesome – we’ve got some great video gurus on staff here as well, but this time around, we used a SermonSpice video … call it a time crunch, I suppose! Nonetheless, it was awesome … “This is the Truth” .. I’ve seen some homemade knockoffs on YouTube, but don’t think they are quite as good.

Don’t have anything to contribute to Creative Chaos…but hopefully, someday soon, I will.

    Awesome Buckhead video los.

  23. yeidy 27 March 2008 at 12:43 pm #

    loved the video, thank you!

  24. oneservant 27 March 2008 at 1:40 pm #

Apologies. Didn’t mean to be such a spammer; thought I was merely editing my entry to add “immersive environment for kids” and note that there are 3 additional posts w/photos of same project after the link noted. The guys who did this created something amazing to help attract and bring the children in our community to know Christ. It was not opened within the last week, but the Easter crowd was large, and the team who put this project all together is a huge blessing.

  25. Josh P 27 March 2008 at 3:35 pm #

It’s always fun to collaborate with Amber while we are shooting. Sometimes we just don’t know how these things are going to turn out until we finish. Having great footage made this one a blast to cut together…who new we had such a creative staff. ;)

  26. Ed 27 March 2008 at 5:30 pm #

Sweet idea doing this. It is pretty cool to be able to get ideas from the Church across the country.
