Tonight was so totally all God and none of us. It rocked the Weaver world! Even Grandma loved it. God is amazing!
Will there be any video available? Unfortunately I live just a tad too far from Atlanta to have been able to actually go. But just judging from this photo, I’d have loved it and been moved.
please post something soon….i’m bummed that i was out of town and missed it!!!!!
great image. please share more.
I’m curious hopefully you have some video, but the picture is just…errieeeeee. who is the artist?
It was a courageously creative and original service… and it had great moments (like the Isaiah 53 video and the Lord’s Supper), but I didn’t feel engaged last night. It’s been a long time since I felt more like a spectator than a participant in a service. Maybe it’s just me.
Marcelo. Thanks for your comment. Yes. The service was designed to be a reminder of Christ’s death. Purposefully you were led through the stations of the cross and the goal was to untrain career Christians as to what to expect on Good Friday. To leave them with an awkward feeling.
Because Sunday is coming. And the resurrection is worth participating in. And we will sing longer than we ever have at Buckhead celebrating the glory of Easter. So yea. You are right. If you were looking for more corporate singing, it was not there. On purpose.

Well, mission accomplished! Maybe it was my eager expectation of been blown away by the fresh and creative newness that is my multimedia experience in BC… I was like..”here it comes!”… “here it comes”… and there it was in front of my very own eyes. IT IS FINISHED. Brilliant!
I loved the end. The entire sanctuary sitting in anticipation. That’s it? It is finished? Just like on that day a couple of thousand years ago. But I guess we’ll find out Sunday that it really isn’t the end…
The one scripture reading that was done seemed out of place with the rest of the night. Either way, a truly moving night.
Great service! Well done. Thanks to you and the rest of the BC team for all of your efforts. We all appreciate the innovative ways with which you challenge us to grow.
Thanks guys. Yea Akash. I think it was a moving night. And I also think the scripture reading felt a little out of place as well. One of those things you can’t really “feel” out during a rehearsal.
Maybe you should stop running cameras or whatever you do on Sunday’s and start producing.
Great insights.
Just let me know when
I thought it was amazing to. The only uncomfortable part was at the end… “Are we supposed to leave now?”
I thought you moved down dirty South for the slap yo momma soul food.
On the real: the green fonts aren’t gettin’ it done, nope.
They’re OK against the white background but almost unreadable on the gray.
brad. the gray is not supposed to be there. switch to DSL from dialup
Aaron… Exactly.
Shrug.
Should I upgrade my 14k modem while I’m at it?
It’s charter cable and it blows the doors off DSL in this area.
Just sayin’. I’m one of the few honest people here that’ll tell you the blog looks like s&%@ and your political preferences are wingbat … imagine if that is lost.
HAHAHA. I shall never want Metz to leave to Ragaland so I shall see if I can make the page load faster. You should never see words on gray
Do you all do webcast from Buckhead’s website? I think I am asking that correctly? My church has sermons you can run from the website in case you miss a Sunday. By any chance is your Good Friday service out there for the viewing? I’m sorta in the career Christian category and have been working on a shake up of my faith lately. You have been instumental in making that happen thus far, just by my reading your blog. http://beyondjems.wordpress.com/2008/03/09/raise-your-right-hand/ Seems like this service would be the next step & prime viewing material before tomorrow. Thanks! Amy
I liked it when the lights were dark and 50 people started running for the doors. I guess they new it was over.
I loved the service. Everything was great but I really enjoyed having some moments of silence. Silence is good.
I loved friday because it was personal. Your comment about “untrain career Christians”… “leave them with an awkward feeling” was what happened, I wish I had used the words first. Just curious, was it the same at all 3 campuses or did each get to do their own?
P.S. Nice job on Sunday as well
