Snoop + This book = Stuff going on inside of Snoop that’s probably really good.

    Yay for Jesus.

    Vancouver, Canada – Breakfast time
Remember when I called you and told you that right in front of me was “Snoopy Dog” and you asked me to go and talk with him, “BUT PLEASE DON’T CALL HIM SNOOPY DOG” He was very nice and told me where he was from and that his grandmother from Inglewood, CA raised him.

You know it was a NPCC Middle School kid’s dad that took this picture right? Seriously, she brought the actual print to church the next Sunday.

  11. Russ 22 April 2008 at 9:33 am #

When did Snoop start flying coach?

  12. Micah Foster 22 April 2008 at 9:36 am #

I happen to know Snoop’s in-head voice speaks with a Britt accent) “This is absolutely profound. I can not believe God didn’t reveal this to me sooner. I should give this to my kids to read over our next cup of ‘tea’”

  13. djByron 22 April 2008 at 9:36 am #

What the… No SkyMall? Guess this’ll have to do.

NO CAPTION … how do we get what God says into the hands of people who don’t know or don’t care about God?

    CAPTION … Good stuff

(FYI — watching from a distance SNOOP DOG has, I believe, chosen to be a leader. Sometimes good. Sometimes not.)

  20. Avin Kline 22 April 2008 at 10:30 am #

Are we sure that’s really him?

That does look like coach class … makes me wonder.

  21. dionicio 22 April 2008 at 11:04 am #

Matt Bunk and Brody by far have the best caption remarks. I vote for them……

“Man, this thang aint got no pictures”

(white lady behind him) “You speak Jive, I know Jive”

Why is Snoop sitting in coach?

  25. Summer Kelly 22 April 2008 at 12:25 pm #

    Wow.

I’m kind of bummed about the comments I’m seeing here…

Yeah, uh, if I were an African-American and not a Christian, I would SO think what y’all are saying is funny… NOT.
Prejudiced and condescending is more like it.

I think it’s awesome that he’s reading this — even if only because there’s no “Sky Mall.”
As Michael Harrison points out, Snoop IS a leader to so many.
We should be thrilled that he picked up this book. I hope he reads it cover-to-cover.

  26. Wendy 22 April 2008 at 1:29 pm #

I completely agree. Whats the difference between us “profiling” him and the Enterprise-rent-a-car incident that has everyone up in arms (as they should be)??? The only difference is which side people believe themselves to be on. This crowd seems to believe themselves to be in the majority and so feels free to ridicule those who do not “fit” in their culture. hmm….seems like I recently read a blog about someone being judged because he didn’t “fit.”

Can you imagine what the caption would have been after Saul/Paul walked the road to Damascus?

Who knows where this guy might be headed in life?

Our God is a God of surprises!

  28. Linda Sue 22 April 2008 at 2:18 pm #

How cool is it – we humans judge by book (or people) covers so quickly. I’d like to see Snoop in heaven with us – maybe Andy Taylor’s book is part of the Lord calling to the Dog.

  29. justin aka j rocka 22 April 2008 at 2:38 pm #

I do not think the intention of the post was to ridicule Snoop. It was more about how interesting it is that he is reading Andy’s book. It could have been Paris Hilton reading the book and 30 comments about how she thinks Andy is “hot”. Snoop is known for saying “izzle-ish” stuff so those comments are funny. Though I think it gave way to some borderline remarks that may be pushing it. Either way, it was all in fun. Fo’shizzle.

  30. Marnie 22 April 2008 at 2:54 pm #

Just a little more background info on the pic. Yes its real, and the person photographing Snoop (one of our NP folks) gave him the book and asked if he could pose for her to take the pic. Which he did gladly. But the cool part is he asked if he could keep it and read it, which he did for the rest of the flight! This was on a short commuter plane ride in Europe by the way…why he’s in coach.

snoop dogg doing research for his upcoming book, “How chronic is chronic enough?”

  35. Tymm 22 April 2008 at 4:56 pm #

Snoop’s a good guy. It’s sad that people are so quick to stereotype. Saw the picture a while back and thought it was cool – neat to hear the backstory on it though…

  36. Los 22 April 2008 at 6:31 pm #

Yea. My blog commeters are on a rampage today.

  37. Jason Cole 22 April 2008 at 8:15 pm #

BTW, those are First Class seats. The people are going by as they come on the plane. The seats are far to wide to be in coach.

Wonder if the book spoke to him. I’ve noticed several times over the years Snoop would say something that made me think he is really searching for something more out of life. Every little step makes a difference.

  38. Carole Turner 22 April 2008 at 8:32 pm #

    I think it’s great!

  39. S. Pihlaja 23 April 2008 at 5:19 am #

    I didn’t know Snoop could read…

  40. Rob 23 April 2008 at 6:56 am #

Snizzle, reading about how not to sizzle in Hizzle.

  41. Doug 23 April 2008 at 12:57 pm #

    Linda Sue,
I think you meant Andy Stanley. Andy Taylor would write books about Mayberry and his son Opie.

  42. Linda Sue 23 April 2008 at 1:51 pm #

Doug thank you so much – I’m laughing here because I guess I juxtaposed Mayberry RFD and FoShizzle LOS in my briar patch of a mind. Andy Stanley, Andy Stanley – I’ll get it eventually, Thanks!
