Google and Me
My post from last night is nearing the top of the 3rd page for Google’s search of “Enterprise Rent-a-Car”
Everybody link to it.
It would be rad if when you googled “Enterprise Rent-a-Car” the post shows up on the front page.

Dude, your now on page 2 with a bullet! And no. 19 overall! You keep this up and you could be a front pager soon!
I know I’m probably going to be chosen for the next stoning for saying this, but maybe we could just hope that they learn that the way they treated you wasn’t right without hoping that everyone who searches for their business will not use them. I’m not saying that what they did was right but……………
Has nothing to do with people not using them. It has to do with companies like that do not listen unless thay are forced to. Google forces companies to listen. I just want them to change that lame rule.

Oh my. We have created a monster.
Here’s another group of folks with similiar feelings…

You should add a link to Wikipedia.
too funny…I think I just will.
I don’t think the guy was following any rules, he just did not like you and he was trying not to rent you the car “Customer Service for Dummies” needs to be used by Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
I agree with CW… I know for a FACT that my husband has rented from them with an out-of-state driver’s license (esp. during the year we were moving to another state). I’m also pretty sure that we have called in our credit card number before when he did not have the actual card with him! I could be wrong, but this sounds very fishy… I think you were wronged, big-time!
Here you go, Carlos:
This is for you!

I understand your anger. I understand your frustration. But doing this seems to be the mean way of handling this situation. If this had been me, I would rather take the high road and find as many managers to CEO of Enterprise and express my disappointment and my perspective on my attempt to rent a car and my dissatisfaction with their service.
You have so much power because you have an enormous amount of readers. After your anger dies down and a few weeks have gone by, will your perspective change? Is this the way you want to use your power? And is this the way you want to minister to others?
I posted it. btw–did you email them this? i think you should.
I only use Enterprise when I travel for business if no one and I mean no one else has a rental car. They always make me feel dirty when I rent from them and that I might as well be renting from JoJo the Monkey Boy. I am a heavy business traveler and have had to use E’prise in many states and rarely in one that I hold a driver’s license from.
Make em hurt.
No offense but you are judging a $9.5 billion company on a person that is making a little more than minimum wage.
Not listening unless they are forced??? What is it going to take for you to get a GA DL, 3 tickets and a law that says you have to did not force you. Sounds like there was a lack of communication and effort on both ends to resolve this issue. Once you talk to the right person at Enterprise and stop blogging about it then I am 100% confident that a mutual solution will be met and we can spend our time and efforts towards something more positive.
As far as the CC #, it is an AMEX policy not to accept typed account numbers for YOUR credit card protection, not Enterprise’s.
For the record I do not rent Enterprise, but I work in a customer service industry. My employees are not perfect, but it is how we resolve issues that set us apart. Give them an opportunity to make it right.
And get your GA DL : )
People.
Dang.
I’m not angry.
I love blog commenters because you think you can put a handle on the whole situation by reading a few words.
I’ll be frank.
I have every right to document my experience.
I tried, very hard, to talk to “superiors”.
I doubt the branch owner makes minimum wage.
I have every right to try and get their attention.
Sorry Tara.
But you are wrong.
So shall we agree to disagree?
I hope that if I have a company and I am the top level manager, that if a customer can not get to anyone that will help him with his situation, that I becomes aware.
Or else my company will still suck.
I still love Jesus people.
I still read my Bible.
But just because you are a Christian does not mean you cannot express your frustrations in public.
And…They finally heard me around 4 pm today.
I promise you that I would not have recieved the email I got without this post.
Actually, AMEX doesn’t have that policy. I own a national wholesale/retail business and we often accept phone orders and type in people’s AMEX card numbers. It’s never been an issue.
As the wife of a Hawaiian man (which in the south translates to brown skinned guy) I have found our treatment at places like this to be very different from the average white couple.
Sounds like a case of racism to me…
Come on Jennafer… You cannot be serious when you just played that race card. I get crappy service all the time by black people, but I don’t say it’s because I’m white, or because they’re black for that matter. It’s just crappy service. Let’s get past that “in the south” crap. Atlanta isn’t truly “southern” anymore. Too many yankees have moved in. Carlos… I think your actions are warranted. You’ve done nothing wrong by reporting poor service.
A lot of times Enterprise is the cheapest option. You get what you pay for. My experience with Enterprise as a whole has not been very good and when I use them is because they were the lowest price and I was going to need the car for a few days. The last time I rented a car in my own town my experience had a lot to be desire. I have a drivers license with a Credit Card and they still made me feel like I was going to take the car south of the border and not return it. CARLOS not having a GA license should not be an issue, he does have a valid license, right?
Enterprise had no idea they were messing with the Blogfather. Poor saps.
well, white girl you definitely live up to your name. my husband was refused service at a gas station here in the “not south” because they, and I quote, “don’t serve his kind.” racism seems like a far off thing when you don’t actually have to deal with it…

linked to ya…
You were up to the middle of the 2nd page when I checked tonight.
I had some issues with Enterprise today too
