The Night

Daley, Matt Vaughn, and I.
9pm to 1 am.
Non stop conversation.
God, Worship, Lifestyle, Church, Trinity, Worship, Worship, Northpoint, Worship, Adoption, Israel, Tears, Uganda, Jesus, Compassion, Music, Worship, Worship, Worship.
That was our night.
Besides leading worship for a few hundred middle schoolers that rocked their faces off.
What did you do last night?
Los

Worked till 9PM. Went to Applebees with some friends. Came home…talked to my mum. Facebook message. Friends Wedding Programs. – Going to get a shower and bed.
I love talks like what you guys did tonight. Haven’t gotten to do that in a while. Glad you had a awesome time.
read a book, wrote a blog, watched kobe dominate carmelo and a.i., played guitar, waited for the wife to come home from work
I’m jealous. I feel like you and Atlanta have seen Daley more this year than I have, or the rest of So.Cal. has. Ha.
Umm…last night I met with my team that I’m co-leading to Africa this summer. Oh, and had coffee.
drank some carmel apple cider from St. Arbucks and led a Biblestudy to 5 other peeps and rocking there world on how sin works in the people’s lives! Booya. Chalk one up for the Jman.
I was chatting with YOU! It was so fun meeting you at church last night. My girlfriends all thought I made an idiot out of myself. Oh well. They don’t blog and just arn’t cool like me!
) I could hear you guys playing from the other room and it was great! Thanks for ministering to our youth!
ate ice cream with my wife on lake michigan
prepared a walking meditation
read animorphs and thich nhat hanh
Went to the Dove Awards and told people about Daley.
Sat in with the teens and worshipped with them. It was awesome! Talked with some friends and found out I wasn’t the only one from my church who was attacked this week. What is WRONG with people?!
Heard N.T. Wright speak at Emory last night and learned why the Resurrection is important and its significance for today.
Ran 5 miles. Did some sit ups. Flipped back and forth between the Doves and some other random shows. Laughed with my wife and daughter.
Akash. The 2 dudes with me heard that too.
Awesome!
I went to bed when yall started talking…awesome. I am the coolest 26 year old in the world!
Watched Syesha and Carly be in the bottom two on Idol. What in the world???????
Saw Feist live in Cleveland, OH!
(wish I had seen NT Wright… gosh.)
andrewsikora.com
Lead worship for youth service, had small groups……then went to Common Grounds to catch open mic night.
my life last evening was a sad existence.
Didn’t see either of them there, then again there were a few hundred people so I might have just missed em.
Painted my kitchen cabinets
Worked in a independent coffee bar for years and yet I don’t drink coffee. I take my Coke Zero black.
I take it with milk. And chocolate. And without the coffee.
Oh wait, that’s hot chocolate.
Oh to be a fly on that wall?
Watched my daughter be awesome on the softball field.
Great night.
My kids (youth group) are doing a few things for the Bible, Music and Arts State Competition this weekend – so last night, they did all their stuff for the adult congregation.
They have:
2 poetry entries,
One vocal solo,
One Tenor Sax solo,
One Sign Language team,
One puppet team (the puppets look like our pastor and 3 deacons),
One photography entry (I think she’s still doing this),
and One Bible entry (this is only done at the National level – she didn’t do anything last night).
I’m really proud of them. They’re changing. They’re challenging the adults to change with them. They’re stepping out of their comfort zones. They led the adults in worship last night – AND IT ROCKED!!!! The adults thought so, too!
Walked with the husband and kids before baths.
Bathed, dressed and put youngin’s to bed.
Packed lunches and schoolbags.
folded clothes.
Put more laundry in.
washed dishes.
Fell asleep watching House Hunters (IN ATLANTA!).
Cuddled with the hubster.
That’s all.
I do not drink it but my wife does. She is like you and puts half a cup of the creamer in. Pretty milky looking
You bless me each day.
Well, I’m a little late to respond…but Tuesday night was pretty eventful. Ready for this? And go.
I got off work, rushed home, grabbed some clothes for my best friend Luci to borrow for a show she was playing, stopped at Taco Bell to get food for the both of us, made it to her place, held her 4-month old girl who was crying/fussy/tired/sick but still incredibly adorable, helped her get ready, packed up the car, breathed a sigh of relief when the kid fell asleep before we’d even left the apartment complex, drove to the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma, got slightly lost and then wound up at a random church where the show was. She opened for Paul Wright (who is totally rad) and totally lit the place up with a new song she wrote this week. We made it back home and I visited briefly with her husband, who’d gotten off work a little before we arrived. He was pretty sad he missed out on the brilliantly awkward evening full of po-dunk-church-folk-turned-concert-planners. God love ‘em, they were all very sweet. We were just happy to catch up with Paul for a bit. Great guy. Very talented.
*whew*
Sorry if I lost you on that one, but I wanted to tell the story. And trust me, this is one of many stories we have like this. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Time with my mentor, doing soul work on myself.
Time with my wife, doing soul work on our marriage.
amazing night, thanks for asking
I used to say something similar… I like my coffee like I like my women, Dark and bitter. My wife proves me wrong on that one. I take it black, usually. Unless it’s Triangle club coffee, then I load it down with anything I can find to hide the actual flavor
hmm, two posts leading to the same comments thread… a linking mistake, I believe.
I heard N.T. Wright lecture about the resurrection…
Brilliant. Amazing. He is the smartest man alive. Well, after my dad.
oh yeah and then I went to a fantastic Irish pub in Decatur and had some good conversation with a group of fabulous people.
tall NO ROOM. i like coffee in my coffee
Used to use cream, and lots of sugar. Now just some cream to cut the acidity a bit.
last night:
laughed a lot with my roommates. tried on different clothes to wear since i’m speaking at a high school’s career day (laughable). watched super nanny since the episode was flimed in my hometown. got excited about visiting said hometown this weekend!
coffee:
1/4 creamer (preferably one with some sort of chocolate flavor, like peppermint mocha) 3/4 coffee, 4 splendas. i like it sweet.
Oh my friends, you don’t know coffee until you’ve had it like the Cubans…it’ll drop your java world-view on its head, ultimate fighter style. Come to Tampa, I’ll make you a batch.
