Boomin’

Posted on 16. May, 2008 by loswhit in Uncategorized

Another reason I quickly fell in love with my church/orginazation is because they kick major tail.
I am constantly amazed as to the talent of the teammates around me.
I think it all came together for me during the DRIVE Conference. Spending 5 days with teammates from all 3 campuses putting together a world class event.
It solidified for me that I work with true rock stars.
What you have below is the video of the opener from Session 3.
All sorts of people were involved in making this thing pop.
And yes that is a 60 some odd foot screen stretching the width of the proscenium.
And yes that is me getting all gangsta jiggy on that screen.
Props to everyone who made this opener work.

Good job on doing “The Worm” on the video. If I had done it, you’d have to call it “The Floor Mop”…

I saw the rehearsal, but couldn’t get in for the session. I remember it had the entire building shaking though.

    Just. Wow.

Y’know, I was at MarriedLifeLive at the “mothership” (Northpoint Community Church, main campus) the other night and they had smaller version of the “radio” effect on their side screens at the start of the night. It had an old-style “dial” radio face instead of the digital one, but the cool speaker effect was there. I loved the subtle touch of the sound of the speaker cones “popping” just like real cheap speakers do when you overdrive them.

    Great stuff!
