Precious! Just wait until they get the “thank you” postcards from Locks of Love. That part’s even better than holding your ponytail in your hand. I know you’re so proud of them!
so which convent are you sending them to? i’ve got mine lined up for somewhere in the Himalayas. lol
definitely beautiful, and super they can make a difference at a young age.
So BRAVE! just think how cool it will be for them to look back at all these posts and pics and really take in what they did! with your encouragement! what a gift!!! and i think the new “do’s” make them both look very grownup! : ) you and Heather must be very proud of your girls…
As a young woman who just underwent chemo for breast cancer, this means more than you’ll ever know. Give your girls a hug and tell them they are making a difference in lives. That’s awesome!
I am so proud of them and you too. You and Heather are raising those kids in a giving atmosphere. I know how much they liked their long hair and that makes me even more proud of them. I miss you all so much. I want to put my hands on their little heads and give them a big kiss. THOSE ARE MY LITTLE GIRLS!!! Love you, Abue”LITA” ;o)
Wow. WOW.
The 4th picture down, of Seanna, wow. She is SO beautiful. I’m sure all it takes is one look with those big brown eyes, and you give her whatever she wants…huh?
Good luck in about 10 years with all the future boyfriends. Haha.
That ROCKS! . . . my 4 and 2 year old go under the bridges in ATL to feed the homeless sometime with me and I take them with me sometimes to a homeless shelter that I lead bible study at every Monday night. It’s these moments that are shaping them into the character of Christ.
My 4 year old daughter actually wanted me to pull the car over and help some ladies walking down the road with shop-bags from one store to another the other day. We were in a nice neighbor and they were not homeless. She was sure they needed our help. “They didn’t have a car to ride in and no house and were carrying their stuff in bags.” Later it made me think. The love and compassion that is being developed in her is the character of Christ.
Your girls being willing to give up their hair show the character of Christ. You and Heather are doing something right man! Keep ROCKIN’ on as parents who are great reference points for the FATHER.
I think this is AMAZING of your girls. I’ve donated my hair three times now. I’ve come to realize God’s made me a hair farm. It’s so cool that your girls did that. And they look SOOOO cute with their new do’s!
I have two friends who are going through chemo and endured the hair loss. Thanks for instilling this generosity into your girls. They are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! No, really.
I know I am responding late…but Los, that is amazing! I am a cancer survivor. I have been blown away at the children who tackle such difficult days of treatment with such an amazing heart. Locks of love has made that process easier for so many people. To this day may daugter is afraid of daddy’s hair going away, so I am stuck with a horrible 90’s gotee…just for her.
thanks for you and your wife teaching your girls the amazing lesson of sacrifice.
Cute kids.

Why does that make me want to cry? I don’t understand…
I must be a total wuss. Or a father of a daughter.
They are adorable and I’m sure you are very proud of them!

You need to write a parenting book. I’m terrified. You make it look so natural.
Your family always continues to warm my heart and encourage me in our journey.
They’re beautiful, Los. Stunning!
My wife did the same thing after we got married. That’s awesome.
BTW, your girls are freakin’ super cute. Love the new hairdoos.

My 11 yr old has lost his hair due to chemotharapy but he;s cool with it, guess with girls it’s more of a personal issue.

From someone who chose to shave her head before it all fell out about 6 years ago tell them THANK YOU!
And to all you chemo participators out there – your bald head is really OK & very cool looking. Not everyone gets to join the survivors club!
