I have to admit that I find it strange sometimes when the online version of myself impacts people as much if not more than the offline version of myself.
I try to keep them as close in sync as possible but one is always more out of whack than the other.
All that to say, my friend Alex, of Better Than Blank fame, is doing something pretty cool for me this week.
He emailed me and told me that he was going to be sharing how this blog, Ragamuffin Soul, has impacted him in different ways.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, but the Bible talks a lot about honoring one another (Romans 12:10). I think we often overlook these verses, for various reasons. We desire honor above others, we’re afraid of others getting credit, we’re selfish, whatever…

I swear I did not pay him a dime.
Nor did he ask for anything.
Thanks Alex.
Go give him a blog hug and check out what cool things are going on in So Cal while you are there.

Man, that is why I want to be a pastor/apostle/whatever-God-needs-me-to-be.

I think that would be a sweet sweet deal.

    The deal:
You get to lift others up above you so that they can be closer to God. Even if it means you lower yourself straight into the dirt, they still get to experience the glory of God.

For lack of a better phrase, that is hawt.

    Honor.

Sometimes I think all of us forget what that even means. I know I’m guilty.
