The man was kind of a big deal… check him out jamming with the boss:

BTW, he mentions my hometown in the song… “é um Belo horizonte” = “it’s a Belo Horizonte” a pun with the name of my city, which means “beautiful horizon”. That’s why this music is so amazing… rich and beautiful poetry about the rains (waters) of March washing alway the summer season.

Some other Jobim’s jewlwels or… Bossa Nova in a nut shell:

    “The One-Note Samba”

    The irresistible “Girl From Ipanema”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFuMcknKURc

    The melancholic “The Happiness”

    Watercolor – By Toquinho

“Enough with Saudade” – feat. the ‘fathers’ of Bossa Nova: Joao Gilberto and Tom Jobim… Saudade may be translated as ‘longing’ but it’s considered one of the top 100 hardest words to translate in the world

My favorite line in this song… “for there is less little fishes to swim in the sea, then the kisses I’ll give in her lips”

Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes (songwriter/poet) are considered the ‘fathers’ of Bossa Nova.

Awesome! I need to do that in my room.

  11. Allen Arnn 17 May 2008 at 8:14 am #

That made me tired, though we need to go do it right now.

  12. Marcelo 17 May 2008 at 8:25 am #

My favorite scene: Losiah messing the room up as you clean it… a true LOL moment.

  13. Crystal Renaud 17 May 2008 at 8:45 am #

There is just something about these time lapse videos that I can’t get enough of, I love them, makes the most mundane tasks look cool.

Amen to Crystal’s comment – I’m taking a break from the cleaning thang at this very moment. Somehow I never realized all those years of college and it would end up I’m sorry I don’t clean house better and faster:::sigh::::: fantastic music – absolutely wonderful – cool video ‘los

Okay… everyone noticed you cleaning the toilet, and obviously you were going around cleaning, so I have to ask… is this truly something you guys do every Friday, and if so, could you post on why you do it? I mean, why as a man do you help out in this area? I think it’s great and I’d just like to hear what you have to say about it. :)

    Thanks!
    Amy

I love it! Real life. Family. Working as a team. The music.

    the boodaddy series never disappoints

  24. Chelsea 17 May 2008 at 5:03 pm #

My favorite BooDaddy video so far. I loved how S. stood on the counter to clean the mirror — awesome job getting the kids involved. If I made this video the music would be necessary to dub over me yelling at the kids to stay focused and stop goofing off.

You do realize, of course, that every married woman who reads this blog is going to save this footage to use against their husbands! LOL

I agree; Real men DO clean toilets!!
    =P

  26. HeidiH 17 May 2008 at 6:26 pm #

I insisted my husband watch the video. Then I clearly pointed out that the man was cleaning the toilet and the bathroom. He claims you were just doing it for the camera. :)

    Oh sweeet Whittaker’s
If it only went that fast and to such great music. I wonder what Dad really wanted to say when the little one was playing around in the bath that he had just cleaned. I believe that paper towels were all over the floor-Maybe it is good that we were hearing such a lovely song.
Great family time that is teaching lifelong lessons-Dad can clean toilets too!!

  28. coni andress 17 May 2008 at 7:18 pm #

It takes true talent to make the act of house cleaning so riveting to watch. Too cool.
    Loved it.

  29. Jacinda 17 May 2008 at 10:05 pm #

That was really cool. I loved seeing more views of your house. i felt like I was there. Miss you guys way too much!
