24 – Flipped

Posted on 24. Jun, 2008 by loswhit in Creativity

We loved on our volunteers this weekend.
They had 24 hours to make a short film.
When they arrived at the building, they were assigned teams.
Then they selected a movie and a genre in which to remake the movie.
You had to use the line…Dude, Where’s my…?”
You had to use a Bobble Head Figurine from our series Judgement Call.
You had 24 hours to turn in your film and we showed them on the Big Screen Saturday night with friends and family.
Over the next few days I will show you some of them.
I’ll go ahead and start with the winner.
This team of volunteers had to remake the movie “The Ten Commandments” as a Kung Fu film.

Brilliant.

    I agree. Brilliantness.

Long ago we tried to shoot “commercials” for our young adults ministry like this. Much shorter and less quality…but equally fun.

Each team had full access to all of the Final Cut Studio bundle, a green screen setup, boom mic, panasonic DVX100 camera, Hollywood Edge sound effects library, Groove Addicts music library and a full wardrobe closet… well almost full looks like Moses’ pants were a little tight! This event ROCKED!!!
