Animal Style Love

Posted on 27. Jun, 2008 by loswhit in Family

There is not a lot that Heather still misses about So Cal.
She is really becoming the Georgia Peach.
But there is something that will always ensure me some action on a return trip home from Cali…
Even at 16 hours old, these puppies still make you want to slap your mama.

Heather is about to finish her burger and then lay it on me.
Gotta run,
True Love is traveling for 16 hours with In N Out fumes protruding from your bag.

Now that is some true love right there!

Dude, I can’t believe you traveled with hamburgers in your bag! Were they really that good? Hamburgers and fries are like the grossest things to re-heat and eat.

nice work…I actually in and out burger last night after the Delirious concert.

  4. Clayton Bell 27 June 2008 at 7:57 am #

Did you DRIVE with that? That’s unreal!

And to @bradruggles…YES! In-N-Out is THAT GOOD!

Love the title of this post.

Regardless of the taste after 16 hours, you scored some points, man. Nice work. 8)

I gotta be honest…. as much as I LOVE in-n-out, that seems a little nasty to me!!

  7. Matt 27 June 2008 at 8:01 am #

Nice! Those fried don’t look too animal style though. I think this is one of the more stellar moves that I’ve read about in a while. Kings to you!

In-N-Out: I don’t really know why, but it’s just one o’ them SoCal thangs. Hope you had some thermostatically controlled container to take ‘em that far, though.

Oh no. They were soggy and warm when I got home.
We just crisped them up in the oven.
    :)

Wow! I am green with envy!!! I love a good In-N-Out burger!

  11. Scott Fillmer 27 June 2008 at 8:29 am #

I know In-n-Out burger is good but from LA to ATL? WOW! Try some Milo’s Hamburgers over on this side of the country, or Ralley’s or Sonic… yeeeeshhh :)

One time I wrote to In-&-Out Burger begging them to come out to the East Coast. They sent me some stickers instead. I LOVE THAT PLACE!! Methinks they will represent in heaven too one day.

  13. metromom 27 June 2008 at 8:44 am #

How many did you have to consume before the plan ride to ensure there were still some left when you got home?

  14. Matthew Daniel 27 June 2008 at 8:45 am #

I had my first In-N-Out burger last week – good stuff! I brought home krispy-kreme one time to my wife, but they’re just like any other doughnut when the light isn’t on…

mmm…It was a happy day in AZ for us when In -N-Out came here. Animal style deliciousness.

In N Out is one of the benchmarks of civilization

Much like Chipotle I will travel exhaustive distances to get my fix. I am like a heroin addict when it comes to chipotle and In N out.

I feel like Ewan McGregor’s character in Trainspotting when I go too long without Chipotle or a delicious burger.

hope you guys can beat the eColi virus that will strike sometime in the next 24 hours:)

Maybe it’s that I’m pregnant, but that looked downright disgusting to me. However, whenever I go to Ohio I MUST have some White Castle. Right now it sounds vomit worthy. But in my regular physical state — DeeLish!

i was wondering if you guys are gonna have food poisoning soon too…i hope not. i bet it was worth it anyways. i have to agree with andy…i’m willing to drive very exhaustive distances for chipotle, and in-n-out is really good too, but i’m definitely more of a burrito person than a burger person.
do definitely got “smoothness points” for that one anyways!

16 hours from LA to ATL? Was that the scenic route?

  22. natalie 27 June 2008 at 10:10 am #

I’m usually a Twitter freak and have been following you (sometimes feels like stalking) for quite awhile now. Just happened to miss the last 24 hours somehow. Just caught up…and now my reply “Oh!!! I get it!” Ever watch “Terminal”? Ketchup/mustard on crackers…

  25. oh amanda 27 June 2008 at 11:42 am #

How funny is that? I’m in the ATL right now and had an in-n-out burger about 24 hours ago while in Riverside. YUM. I should have followed your lead and brought one for my hubby.

  26. Jonathan 27 June 2008 at 11:42 am #

I’m right there with you brother! We will be moving from the OC to the East Coast in the next couple of months, and we will sorely miss In N Out. There’s something special about a toasted butterd bun and freshly cut fries.

    Sigh.

  27. portorikan 27 June 2008 at 12:01 pm #

    I have yet to savor one… but I can’t wait…

  28. Barb 27 June 2008 at 12:15 pm #

    That is love !!!
Brody and Kristin love a Mexican place in town called “El Portal”. Kristin especially likes the Super Burritos. the first time we visited, Mike picked up a couple of those, some hot sauce and froze them overnight, put it in dry ice in our baggage the next day. When we got to Nashville, it was not frozen, but Kristin appreciated it and loved it.
Some things just aren’t the same moving from coast to coast.

After all that travel, I just hope y’all didn’t end up with food poisoning!

Am I the only one that follows the two hour rule about leaving food out?

  30. andy kuhn 27 June 2008 at 12:56 pm #

why is everyone mentioning food poisoning? I thought that was Jack-in-the-box?

  31. ninabunk 27 June 2008 at 1:37 pm #

carlos, that is sweetest thing you could ever do for H i am counting down, less than a month till we land in LA and the first stop is in n’ out!

  32. Renee Garcia 27 June 2008 at 2:42 pm #

SO jealous!!!! I can taste it from here!

  33. Los 27 June 2008 at 3:33 pm #

Yea. I have never followed a 2 hour rule of any sorts.
I college, I would, on purpose, make cream of wheat at midnight, leave it out all night so it could congeal, then I could carry it to class in my hand like a rubber ball. No spoon necessary.

  34. CathyH 27 June 2008 at 9:08 pm #

OMG….There is nothing better than a…..In & Out double, double animal style and that’s a fact!!!

  35. church guy 27 June 2008 at 10:03 pm #

how do you get those past airport security?

  36. Pearmama 28 June 2008 at 4:47 pm #

Its good to know I can drive 2 minutes from my crib and be at the In-n-out off of Madison. B o o y a h. Sometimes you just take things for granted. I’ve eaten an in-n-out fry on the floor of my van thats been there a couple of days. Totally edible! ;)

Growing up, my uncle had a in-n-out urge sticker on his black trans-am. Took me many years to figure it out. HA

    joy! pure joy!

MMMM… I would pay GOOD $$$ for a double double w/ cheese…. When my husband asks what I want for dinner, I always say In & Out… I shoot an email to them every so often to try to get them to open one out here…. maybe someday…
