real or not the new iphone’s are supposed to be coming out this week, and there are supposed to be three new colors. What the heck am I supposed to do with my old one now
Sadly, the only “sign” i need to see is “Verizon Wireless” in the service bar. AT&T stinks down here, or else I’d have an iPhone for me AND my wife.
Signed,
A die-hard Mac addict who has already learned that an iPhone is useless at his OFFICE and at his HOUSE. (and half the other places one may go on SSI).
it IS a sign. a sign that you must get one. and, since i love your blog so much, and we are both big mac guys, you should get me one for a birthday present. you forgot me in april. and i’ll think of you when it gets that time of year for you. haha.
If this is real, the black iPhone has a sleep button and the RED doesn’t. Whoops.
Activism never sleeps!!!
Seriously, though, I’m betting I’ll be disappointed tomorrow…I’m hoping for video conferencing, but I doubt it. That really would have put it over the top.
Oh man. I’m excited. I already have a scheme to pass on this iPhone as a hand-me-down so that I can pick up the new one for minimal cost. Real excited.
I know the prospect of purchasing this phone (for most of you) isn’t hinging on it’s ability to do GPS… but I thought I would point out that CELLULAR TRIANGULATION IS NOT GPS. Sure, location-based services are cool. (I’ve been doing this with my BlackBerry and Google Maps for the better part of a year already.) But this phone doesn’t come equipped with a GPS receiver. If it did, it would be able to do turn-by-turn directions. Didn’t hear Steve Jobs say anything about that, did you?
I’ll take the RED one for a extra $200!
Just a head’s up.
That picture is a fake.
Well. According to this page.
Which could also be a fake.
At this point, who knows.

That is a fake.
Well. According to this article.
Which I guess could also be a fake.
We shall know for sure tomorrow.

It’s only too bad that those photos are fakes… I think I might actually splurge and buy the iPhone v2 if it looks anything like those pics though.

Ok, enough iPhone-hatin’. Enjoy!
I wish they would have released it looking like this. I really like the glossy but I think this mock up is better.
I would pay extra for the red as well…
