Creative Chaos 1-1

Go HERE and HERE.for the rules and explanation on how to be involved in this post.
Every Thursday YOU write a post on your blog as to what creative element, secret, process, whatever took place in your life the past week or month, or year, or decade.
Music, Art, Video, Production, Scripts, Sermon Illustrations, Design, ect. You get the vibe.

This week’s entry

I wanted you guys to get a look at our versatubes in action.
Lots of you have been asking details.
Here is the detail specs.
We got them from LTech LED in China. The website is www.ltech-led.com.
We purchased the LT-200-A-RGB tubes.
We got them for like 70% less than you could in the good old US of A.
The way we have them stacked now offers a better option for using live jumpbacks ect. on them that we can make out as opposed to how they were horizontally layered for our Faith Hope and Luck series.

Versatubes from Carlos Whittaker on Vimeo.

OK. Your turn…

Chaos,
Los

These are cool tubes. I’ve seen them used on some tours lately and they add a really cool layer and depth to the stage…nice. I think i might get some as window shades later today and use them to light my bedroom.

I am so glad you are using Vimeo. It is so much better than YouTube, as far as quality goes.

Thanks for the link to the site… but how did you order them–contact? Were they pricey? At 70% off that’s a great deal. Can you control them through DMX or have to have the controller? So many questions Los!
    Happy 4th!

Ok, so I watched this video about 20 minuets ago but I still have the song stuck in my head.

“Glory to God, Glory to God, Glory to God forever…”

That felt and looked like some amazing moments of corporate worship. I love to see people worship through their soul – fully engaged with God and community – with thought, feeling, and everything they’ve got in them… not just through their talents. Way to go!
Please let that “background singer” (taking nothing away from her) know that she’s an inspiring singer.

Oh, and the lights are cool too.

Dude—put up some more video of you leading at the Buck. That was awesome and it gave me a minute and a half of getting my worship on. Do it some more.

  19. Megan 4 July 2008 at 7:23 pm #

  20. caleb 5 July 2008 at 7:15 am #

    Dear Worship Leader Guy,

Why is it always “get louder”? Its not just you in this video but its all those famous worship guys at their concerts too. Its as if you want me to believe my worship is not real unless I reach a certain db level. or the more decibels I can project the more my worship means to God.

Why not “get more real”, “from your heart”, or “think about what it means” or “this means your whole life will change…be sure you mean it!”?

The whole “get louder thing seems to be the search for affirmation from the stage. If I’m louder, my worship is just….well….louder….the most pure worship in that room could well be coming from the quietest lips.
