I'm African-American, I didn't necessarily assume it was a black church, but I did think that it was hilarious. However, I think perhaps my reason was different. I thought immediately of a phrase black folks like to use: big-bone-ded. That means a big (overweight) person. It's one of those gentler terms, you know. "Humph, that heifer is big bone-ded." They actually chose that name...in a CONTEST.
