Congrats Los on the long run. I’m surprised we didn’t get a link to your 100 mile certificate from Nike. I earned my a while back. I’m 1 good run away from 200 now. I’m glad I challenged you in the beginning. I would have a harder time beating you now. Although, I’m def. up for another challenge if you are. Here’s a motivator. When you hit the 500 mile club on Nike+ they let you buy a shirt from them with 500 on it. Are you super motivated, now? Yeah me too.

My knees don’t take to running all that well… plus my doctor recommended brisk walks. So I will officially be “that guy” if you need me.

Hey, I wish you the best on this journey. I am a person
with a passion for fitness. I know what it feels like to be overweght, out of shape, and down and out. I also know how sweet it is when you push past the pain, and reach your dream one day at a time. Be blessed and take very good care of your temple, sending lots of prayers and high hopes your way. You can do this, keep pressing forward. G-d is faithful and G-d is good.

Great job los. 12 miles…that’s huge. I’m not part of the ragamuffintop challenge because I’m too lame. Yet, today I rode my bike 10 miles. Yea for me!
    Keep it up.

Vacation this week – not doing much beyond sunning and boating! But I’ve been good about my diet, anyway. Now it’s time to get moving. I’m totally impressed that you and Heather both ran 12 miles. Rockstar status.

I’m on “the program” – lost 20 lbs. in 2 months.

Great Job Los!! I finished my first 1/2 marathon yesterday – 13.1 miles for those running challenged. Topped that off with 56 miles on the bike. Officially completing the run & bike part of a 1/2 Iron Man. Not too bad to finish on your 35th birthday. Does that make me half a man??? :)

Down almost 1 lb for the week – but I enjoyed my birthday dessert tremendously. Back on the wagon next week. Down 13.8 lbs total on “the program”.

And for those still counting – I’m 840 hours without a carbonated beverage. However I am becoming particularly fond of those Crystal light energy drink mixes that are just loaded with caffeine.

Hope you guys have a great week.

Didn’t post last week because no internet in the new place, but I’m dutifully bulking up my water intake, and I’m doing great, and amazingly don’t feel nearly as sloshy anymore!

Yo good luck yall, my wife and I started a few months ago on this long sucky journey into better health, it has been hard, I way 400+ pounds, but managed to loose like 30 of them in the first month, we since have taken about a month off, but plan on getting back on it very soon!

12 miles… I’ll be there one day. Great work. I feel you about the hills, but I’m starting out with them. My big goal is a half marathon I have picked out for next year… I’m giving myself a little advantage by going to the flat lands of Virginia Beach. It’ll be good.

  22. Dan 14 July 2008 at 5:29 am #

    Down 1.5 pounds this week.

12 miles…um…I’m not sure I’ll ever be there.

  23. Jad 14 July 2008 at 6:13 am #

I feel great. I didn’t lose great weight. poo.

  24. Erin 14 July 2008 at 7:27 am #

This is my first week to list my goal. I’m never weigh myself though so my goals will be either number of walks or miles walked. :o )

Congrats on the 12 mile run!

Appreciate the Lord’s work in me this week (and everyone’s prayers.)

It’s always amazing that when the Lord is working on a self-control issue with me, my spiritual walk/time in the Word is always improved or refined in some way.

May you each experience the same wonder at what He can do.

  26. Jessica 14 July 2008 at 11:43 am #

Not sure what I lost I think my scale is on the fritz because I weighed on Saturday morning and I had lost 3 pounds then came back 30 minutes later to show my daughter and was up 3 pounds and no I hadn’t eaten or anything yet. I do know which is really great that all my clothes are big in fact I am now in a large T-shirt again! Yes, that is an accomplishment for me and I do not expect to go smaller than that because of my female anatomy and I have never been in a shirt smaller than a large. So, even if the pounds are not coming off the inches are definitely. Thanks guys for all the support.
