Yo Baby. I’m Yo Stat Ho
I love stats.
Love them.
Why?
Because a click is a person.
A person has a heartbeat.
A heartbeat has a passion.
A passion can change the world.
You can change the world.
So there are now over 3000 heartbeats reading this blog via RSS
There are over 2500 heartbeats coming to the site through a plain old browser.
There are 1207 heartbeats linking here and agreeing with the vision of this blog.
What is that vision?
It was one of my first posts in 2005.
To dive deep within your chest, past any aspect of self, seeking to admit your faults, while rejoicing in HIS strength
That is why I do this everyday.
Because I can see with my own eyes that people are getting it.
Churning out authenticity in the best way they know how.
So cheers to you.
What keeps you coming back to Ragamuffin Soul?
Los

The hope that one day you will write a post about me!
honestly though, you are REAL, thats it
The authenticity.
The diversity.
The Community.
And just because…I like it! I guess that’s a good enough reason
I like the Humor.
i’ll keep comin’ as long as you keep pimpin’ Jesus and livin’ la vida real.
Morbid curiosity. (jk)
Seriously, you lead an interesting life.
I keep coming back for the constant push to be authentic. And ’cause we’re building one heck of a community.
The unexpected, anything is bound to happen. It often does!
What keeps me coming back? Because I have within me a deep desire to live life in community, a desire to share life with those around me. In fact, I think it would be fair to call it a need. I have had tastes of how delicious it can be, glimpses of how beautiful it is… but it seems to be fleeting. While I am doing all I can to cultivate it where I have been called, I am enjoying seeing Los flesh it out virtually.
… And let’s not forget the man-crush….
http://www.deeperwater.com/2008/07/24/why-i-have-man-crush-on-los/
It’s just nice to know there are others out there that are as twisted & odd as my family is…and still loves Jesus.
Ok, I know I already answered, but the truth be told, I only come back because “I am an offering” suggested we not read your blog, and I tend to be a non-conformist.
because you’re better than any reality show on tv.
Your (and Heather’s) absolute transparency in doing this thing called life.
The fact that you both love Jesus and you are raising a beautiful family to follow in His steps.
And because you are one of the funniest bloggers I have ever read! =D
You speak on God, worship, marriage and family.
Those are things near and dear to my heart.
I gotta come back.
because I hate fake people, and from what I can see, you are pretty real, and funny
I hate to break up the admiration session here, but a friend told me about this site having some kind of weight loss challenge. I think she told me about it Wed. or Thurs. of last week. Well, I never get into this sort of thing, but thought, if it’s working for her, I’ll try it.
She says “every Saturday he’ll post his own weight, followed by some thing for you to link to your site, where you’ll have your progress listed.”
So, I’m into this. I design a blog (first time ever), make a video and figure out how to get it on my site (first time ever) and then I wait.
Now, this isn’t like you put up a post challenging people write the best song. You have chosen an area that some people (myself included) have struggled with their entire lives. A very sensitive subject that requires consistency and motivation. My friend convinced me this would provide those things.
Bottom line: I admire you for putting it out there and including people with a blog that may not be so popular, but I am disappointed. As you post about the thousands of clicks, hearts and passions that come to your blog every day, do you ever once think that maybe thousands of people depending on something you advertised, are a little less passionate about themselves right now?
Although I do not pay for your services, I have spent hundreds of dollars preparing for a “product” you advertised. Is time short these days? Is this week a busy one? Yeah? Mine too!
you’re rocking the creativity. I appreciate that.
It’s simple. The transparency between both you and H. I love it man, it’s why i blog the “real” topics and not the fluff. It’s why i read you, watch you and call you a “friend”.
I like tattoos.
Dude, you ARE a Stat Slut and that’s awesome! I don’t care what anyone else says about you taking off your shirt for hits (that sounds funny), you are who you are and that’s what matters.
You have fun with what you do. You post ads that help to supplement what you do (even though some people point fingers about it). You always keep it interesting.
That’s why I keep coming back.
Yea John. This Saturday was a busy one.
Come back next Sat if you want to jump in!
The creativity. This blog is different from the other blogs I read. I’m addicted.
the honesty. even if/when i don’t agree with you, i always appreciate your honesty. and i think your marriage is great. i hope my (future) husband loves me as much as you love heather.
You keep it real and make me realize that even with my imperfections JESUS still loves me!
You are very authentic and real about everything. I like the sense of humor. I am interested to see what you have to say about different things every day
I love the “passion” in this blog. Passion for Jesus, for family, for life, for people, for worship, for blogging, for a lot of stuff! Yep, this is a “passionate” blog!
I love how you explained about the “stats” too.
You’re where I want to be and I like to come by and take notes so I’m prepared when I get there.
I come back because I look forward to being a father/husband in life more than maybe anything else. Here, I get to see first hand the good and bad things you can do as a parent/husband. Mostly, I enjoy seeing the passion and love that you give your kids and your wife.
Your blog to me is almost like a training course for my future life and an accountability and reality check for my current.
Thanks Los’.

An inside look at an honest serveant. Being closer to you brings me closer to Andy!
Hi Los,
Just recently started reading your blog after Jon gave a shout out to you over at SCL. I watched Losiah’s story and was blown away by it. I’m hooked, although sometimes I feel a little like a peeping Tom (or Sue in my case) watching your family which is such a sweet one BTW. Hubby and I can’t have children of our own, and adoption was a dead end road for us so I have to be honest and say I live a little vicariously through the Whittaker family every day. Jon and Kate Plus 8 is a little overstimulating for me, but the story of your family is just right! Love your videos, although Sohaila’s tooth pulling flashed me back to the time I was a terrified six-year-old with my first loose tooth. My dad just kept threatening to tie a string to the tooth, and the other end to a doorknob…full body shiver! He never did that though. He’s a cool dad! Keep the coolness coming!
Keep it rockin’, Los!
I stick around because you always give shouts outs to great blogs like http://www.double3.com.
Your creativity, shaved head, tattoo sleeve, Korean child, passion for important things, etc, etc…
I take many ideas from here and make them my own.
Oh, and the fact that you don’t have that lame comment feature (approval needed from author before posting blah blah blah) thing. I comment, and see my comment.
Los you have to do this too… I already checked on your blog! haha http://www.business-opportunities.biz/projects/how-much-is-your-blog-worth/ . You should be RICH! I keep hoping you’ll do a post about us too! hahaha
You’re the one that started it all. My buddy Loran was tellin me about the story of you and a ladies locker room. He was crackin up. He showed me your site and I was hooked. Which started a blogging revolution at our church. I’m pretty sure I was the first one to start a blog here, then Loran and then a bunch of other people got excited too. It was all because of you!
After growing up in such an uptight home and church, its refreshing to see/read your family who are so grounded in their faith. I also like while your so devoted to God you are also so carefree.
You guys also remind me of my little bro and his fam. He too has two beautiful girls (sans the korean son!) He too works in ministry. He is a youth leader and assistant worship leader.
Plus, man you just make me giggle! I am so glad to have stumpled upon yours and your wife’s site.
Peace & love to you both!
Getting to watch the adventures of the whittaker family!
oh yea and you are ‘well butch’
You grow on people, lol. I love how much you love your family, the videos are great. I thought that you bringing out your wife’s best friend was the sweetest thing ever.
I like following you and your family on your journey, though your openness about your sex life is a little shocking at times (I am not married). But besides that, it’s also really cool to parallel your and Heather’s blogs to see how all the pieces fit together.
I love your passion for Jesus! I love that you love worship! I love your insight! I love your wife’s blog! AND you are CRAZY FUNNY!!!
you
Because I took a seminar from you on blogging and you told me to.
I come because you’re real! Welcoming to everyone and encourage people to have fun living in our world without becoming of the world! You make Jesus fun and inviting instead of the rigid, cold, condemning Jesus that so many of us grew up with! More people will know him because of you!
my stats – hahaha
i dig what you’re up too
Los,
This “heartbeat” returns, via RSS, because I value your rants, riffs, and raves.
Plus, it’s cool sharing life with this online community of ragamuffins. Keep doing it ALL for Him!
God bless.
Honestly…without trying to over spiritulize this comment…I am inspired to know how to pray for you and your family. Thanks for what you do.
You are a kindred spirit in the authenticity stakes, and in the worship leading stakes….I wanna be you when I grow up!
If you ever come to Australia yell!
I keep coming back because you are real, authentic, artistic, and an inspiration. Even though we have never met, I feel like we would be friends. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Keep it up man!
Why I keep coming back? Because you post things like this and love serving Him. Because your twittering sparks my interest (I am convinced that you and Mark Lee are going to break Twitter one day). You truly understand how to take the impersonal nature of the internet, and build fellowship and community. Keep up the great work.
If you were a real stat ho, you’d know how many of those hits via browser were click-throughs from an RSS feed reader.
And I keep coming back for these wacky videos.
*the authenticity
*the community feel
*the videos that make me feel like part of your family
*the creativity
*the challenging questions
I just like it.
Thank you for this blog!
Like it or not… you’re real
Agree or disagree… you’re real
I like real people…
and it’s good to have them to keep you real as well!
http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/DandelionSeeds
real…creative…authentic
What a load of crap! Statwatchers do it to boost their ego. This post had absolutely nothing to do with authenticity. Gimme a break.
i am a faithful ragamuffiner because you are my friend and i miss you man. plus i love getting your view on something and then getting heather’s too. that’s cool. keep ‘em comin’!
Authenticity. I’m just glad and proud to be one of those 1207
Your freaky brain…
and Creative Chaos, I finally started to find people like me…
That may or may not be a compliment. lol!
