Throwin’ Rocks At Yo BooDaddy // Killer Crickets
Quite seriously.
Watching my children and myself for 3 minutes could quite possibly be better than anything on television this afternoon.
Yes.
I screamed like a girl.

“losiah come here.” “huh…huh…huh…?”
lol.
Thanks for the break from my work! Nice job girls!
Nice – You state with all fatherly authority: “you own that grasshopper!”, yet you stay away like a little sissy man. Funny stuff.
classic!!
carlos that might be the funniest boodaddy video so far!! loved it!
Oh my goodness… that was too funny… my boys are coming over to “save” you!
lol. this is too cute and too funny…
i love how losiah checked himself out at the computer…
LOL nice.

Ah…the results of teamwork! Losiah is a little camera ham and a cute one at that.
way to encourage them when they were losing hope dad! I’ve been there before. Good stuff.
i love that the girls were scared of the cricket, but also want to know how they can keep it as a pet
Bravo!
Your son Losiah reminded me of what my son would be doing in that situation. My son, Silas 20 months, loves the computer and wants desperately to figure out how it works.
love how Losiah hangs out in front of the computer, checking himself out, and dancing.
why do all the non-asian’s have their shoes off in the house and the korean boy has his shoes on? whats up with that?
Not sure which is more drama….you or Super Sweet 16 that I am watching…it’s a toss up.
So….you got the cricket in the bowl….um…what happens after that? I think that would have been more entertaining. I mean. How did you get it outside or dare I say….kill it? Too funny.
It looks funny to have a big tatooed man dancing away from a cricket, but I jumped and cheered when the little escapee was finally captured. Good stuff.
losiah is easily the cutest kid i’ve ever seen. and you have some brave girls. i would have never gotten that close to a cricket at their age! haha. nicely done.
Wow! We are yet to have girls…or any children for that matter… But dang if your girls are cute as can be! I love how they pout together…in unison. Well done!

I love the closing music. You’re so proud. That’s how it’s done…west coast style.
I laughed so hard! I got in a fight with a camel cricket one time in Mphs and he was just about to win but my husband came in and saved me by killing it with the broom. Are they not the scariest looking crickets you’ve ever seen!!
I wonder what that cricket did in a previous life to have to endure all that . . . great video.
just about anything would qualify for being better than what is on tv right now
Really? A cricket? @Kristi said it well… “sissy man”!
(I mean that with utmost kindness)
*walks away*….afraid of a cricket… sheesh….
how bout you stop watching and start writing!
Let me see if I got this…
You used your children.
To catch a cricket.
Because you were scared of a cricket.
oh. my. gosh.
funny stuff
oh man losiah is SOOOOOO cute!
and the girls are brave! go girls!
Sweet. I now feel better about my manhood. I am no longer alone in my fear.
Losiah is quite possibly the cutest little guy on the planet. He makes me want a mini-Korean
For real. As in I’m taking Financial Peace this semester so I can figure out how to save a bunch of cash.
That was awesome, I saw it on heathers blog though before I came here. You have some guts carlos posting your bravery too the southern bugs for the world to see. Ahahah so cute!
What I really love is that you’re teaching them how to do it so you don’t have to. Miss you!
WOW!!! Great job! well your kids did a GREAT JOB! hahaha!
I HATE BUGS too!!! specially ROACHES!!!
one time i jumped on top of the bed and screamed like a lady asking my wife to get rid of the roach!

Best. BooDaddy. Video.
I have all my minions, er, little cousins catch stuff for me all the time.
So, cricket for family dinner night? And, Losiah rocks. That is all.
All three of your kids are lovely! But I always love your daughter Seanna, she is SMART, CHARMING, PHOTOGENIC, CUTE, WITTTY. Blessings!
“no insects were harmed in the making of this video”
you know its bad luck to kill a cricket, right?
yup. that’s about how it goes here too. screaming. possible capturing and poking devices strewn about the vicinity. screaming. huge bowls. yard sticks. bosxes. brooms. and more screaming.
good job to your lovely ladies!
Wow! That was a riot. Lovin’ Losiah’s little dance in the beginning, but the way you got to girls to deal with the big bad cricket was classic! I’m curious, if you’re that….uncomfortable…around a little cricket how do you even go outside in the dirty south with the big bugs? Great stuff, Carlos!
That was great!
Oh my… So funny! LOL!
So yeah, I think you have the most precious family ever in the history of families. That video is the cutest thing ever!
Why didnt you just pick it up with your hands and show them how to hold a cricket? If you live in the south, you gotta learn how to play with bugs!
Oh you certainly did scream like a girl- I saw this on h’s site first. Now why this comment: does the youth pastor at buckhead church have a blog? not sure if you have a seperate high school or middle schol pastor, but I’d be interested in both. I am the assistant to student ministries at my church and we’re looking for fresh ideas as we’re growing. i love what I read about buckhead church (which i want to call buckethead church by the way) so i’d love to read more about what ya’ll are doing.
thanks
Man, that was awesome. Losiah is a stud and knows it. Things are wet, wet, wet and dark down here in Tally, that video was needed.
“You own that grasshopper!” Fantastic.
Losiah is wowed by the Apple goodness…
I know this is not the right place, but how bout a RagamuffinTop Challenge post???
A couple years ago we caught a wolf spider in the house. Not a pretty thing, but my daughters asked the same thing. “Can we keep it?” I answered like any typical boy. “Sure!”
Well, that meant weekly trips to the local exotic (read: lizards, spiders & snakes) pet store to buy feeder crickets with the hopper legs trimmed. Of course, putting one of those crickets into the spider’s cage was the same thing as catching a cricket. Lots of screams – including mine – but it somehow wound up being my job. But it was really cool to watch the spider tackle a cricket and suck it like a crawdad…
The following spring, “Wolfy” was released into the wild.
oh my gosh! Losiah is SOOOO cute! it’s like a little anime every day at the whittaker house!
Los, this is too funny. I loved the fact that she threw the bowl at the cricket and ran.
I needed a good laugh for sure. Thanks!

My entire family watched this video through… twice. And laughed together. I don’t know HOW many times it was said: “Ohh man, he’s got the cutest kids!!!”
