We had a guest speaker. A member of our church who is passionate about being “green” spoke on the importance of recycling and our responsibility as a church to take a step in leading up that.

Lon Solomon was raised Jewish and and acknowledge Jesus as His long awaited Messiah 38 years ago. His grasp of the Scriptures is awesome. He’s a great speaker as well.

Our pastor preached a sermon titled, “Time To Clean House,” based from Colossians 3:15-21. It addressed the need for us to make sure that the atmosphere of our homes and the application of our hearts matches that of Scripture.

3:16-4:7. (the promise given to Abraham vs the Law given to Moses, and how both point to our need for Jesus)
we started the Big Give… a competition between our cluster groups to see who can take the money we give them ($500 each) and multiply it the most! all of the $$$ is going to two local ministries…one for the homeless and one for orphaned children. very exciting!
so…it was Matthew 25 – the parable of the talents.
